The college offers a renowned commerce and science program, with admissions based on a merit-wise selection process and an interview. Candidates apply through a common admission form for Chandigarh colleges, and the merit list considers percentage scores, age, and alphabetical order. The college environment is calm, and admissions typically happen in July. With a highly qualified faculty, including approximately 250 Ph.D. holders among 300 teachers, the student-faculty ratio allows for personalized attention and effective teaching using technology.
The college enforces a 75% attendance requirement with penalties for non-compliance. The fee structure is transparent and affordable at approximately 27,000 INR annually, plus an examination fee of around 2,700 INR per semester. Payments can be made in two installments without extra fees for admission. The college boasts a strong placement record, especially in BBA and commerce, with 100% quality placements and a 60-70% student placement rate through drives involving companies like Fortis, Max, and Ivy.
However, placements are limited for BSc and arts students, who have more internships and seminars but fewer direct placement opportunities. Scholarships are offered for economically weaker students and high achievers, covering up to 60% of fees, with specific concessions for certain categories. Course fees for 2023 are 33,678 INR and will increase to 36,000 INR in 2024, with higher fees for departments like BCA, ranging from 58,000 to 62,000 INR.
Scholarships require a minimum of 60% merit criteria.
