Good college

There is much positive review on the college than its negative one. I have hardly heard any negativity of thus college. One negative thing that I personally think is connected with this college is the student council election which helds every year here and which creates a political surrounding in the college campus for nearly one and a hlalf month.

Course curriculum is good. All the course syllabus are affiliated to Panjab university courses which also defines their books in the syllabus. Exam structure is based on semester wise i.e of 6 months. And MST(mid semester test) in between every semester is also held.

At this instance, the college proves to be weak than its other competitors. There is not much placements and job opportunities here but yes the college provide some of the opportunities to the student for placements/job opportunities. And hence the same is with the case of internship.

The biggest event of the college is Youth fest which is held in September every year and is celebrated on a very large scale. It consists of many events such as regional dances, folks, story/essay writing, poster making and much more events. On the other hand, individual events are also organised in the college at regular intervals such as quiz, bookmark competition, science fair etc.

Fee structure of this college is very feasible as we compare it to other colleges. A middle class family could easily afford it. Even though the fee structure is divided into semester wise i.e. of 6 months which too bring the fee to a more feasible side.

There are many scholarship/loan facility available in the college in which sports quota is the most popular one. Beside that only girl child, child of a martyr, child of a army personnel, resident of same city, border area student etc type scholarship are also availed.

This college is best in the field of sports. Every type of sports are played here such as basketball, baseball, football, cricket, lawn tennisa nd many more. Labs here are well maintained and lab attendants are also there to manage each labs. Extracurricular activities are also on pros side of the college.

I have opted for the Hostel. Hostel facility is also good, there is no ragging system here, quality of food is reasonable but the meal routine is same which makes it boring after sometime. One can opt for 2 bedded, 3 bedded, 4 bedded room at same price. The worst thing of the hostel is that the morning breakfast is not included in the hostel fee, one have to pay extra for that.

Seniors here are too helpful, they will never get to feel you that they are your seniors. And juniors too respect them. There is no scene of ragging in this college. Seniors also provides their previous notes and books to help their juniors.

I got admission here on the basis of merit list. Usually 3-4 merit lists are displayed and open counselling for the remaining seats are also done. Admission procedure- simply fill the form on the official site of the college and choose the preference of the college according to your need, wait for the merit list to be displayed and if the name comes, submit the required documents on the desired date to the college.

The best thing of this college is its faculty.Faculty in this college are very knowledgeable in their subjects. Each and every faculty is excellent in communication with their student. They are very frank with them. And student respect them too.
