The placements were good. I also got a job & still doing it after 1.5 year of passing. Also after doing English honours course you can easily become a teacher or do jobs in communication fields. Also it makes your vocabulary & spoken English good that helps in any kind of interviews.

Overall my course is good and suitable for me but one thing that i didn't like is exam timing. Exam timing is too short . Students have to write a 14 page of a answer sheet within 1 hour. This is almost impossible. College should change this rule and should extend the exam timing.

I choosed this course on my personal experience and basis on my skills. I think subjects of B.A are suitable for me and i can learn and improve my skills by this course. I definitely believe this course will help me alot in future.

I want to complete my master's degree that's why I choose this course. because if you complete your master's degree then you need to complete first your B.A. Here you can see student ratio is low. If I say Honestly, then the teaching method is not good as other colleges/universities.

I am good at English literature and wanted to deeply study. I want to do research in English literature. So I have chosen this course. We have a total of 70 students in our college's English department. Among them 41 seats are unreserved, 16 seats for SC, 5 seats for ST, 8 seats for OBC-A and 5 seats for OBC B. We have a total of six faculties in our department. So our student-faculty ratio is around 11 to 12 students per faculty. Our faculties are very much professional with a lot of knowledge and experience in English subjects. We have classroom lectures, PowerPoint presentations, tutorial classes and many more. Some of our faculties used to take special classes. We have a total of six semesters to pass in the CBCS system.

Among the subject of art, I have in 12 I like the English most and got decent marks. I want to know English literature in detail. So I have chosen this course. We have around 6 faculties and around 80 students in our English department. So student-faculty ratio is around 12-13 students per faculty. All of our faculties are highly qualified. Most of them have done a Ph.D. or MPhil. Their teaching method is a manner where we can learn things better. We have 6 semesters in total. The exam becomes tough after 3rd semester. The last two-semester have a lot of papers. So you have to study well.

Students are eligible for placements from the 6th semester. Companies like Federal Bank, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank etc give us placements.The highest packege offered by companies is 35k p.m. At around 60% to 70% students from our college get placements every year. College has great placement cell but no in-campus programme held for jobs.

The placement percentage of this college is very basic. Students become eligible for out-campus placements from 6th semester. Placement cell forward us to companies like Webel, Flipkart, HDFC Bank, IndusInd Bank. The highest salary packege offered by those companies are around Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 30,000. Almost 60% to 70% students get placed every year after passing out from this college. I am also willing to get a chance in one of the companies like that.

For me this is the best college. Study oriented college.

In my overall experience,Bhairab Ganguly college has the balance between curriculum,extra curricular activities,internal environment and external environment.The campus is pleasing for both body and mind.The teachers are always aware of the curriculum.There are always extra curricular activities and events.The labs,hall,and classrooms are neat and clean.The library is always ready to help the students.And the student support helpline is always active.Also there are medical staff too.There are always discounts for students in the cafeteria.
