Sophia College for Women Mumbai Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I chose sociology as my major as it is concerned with the society and moves to take down stereotypes, social issues, etc., something which i personally resonate with a lot. The curriculum prepares us for the real world in terms of living within the society. However, the discipline of sociology still does not offer secure jobs in the future. I suppose the curriculum could be improved through teachings using more examples which are unrelated to the topic but show a parallel side that can explain the concept. Due to NAAC, many of our assignments and tests were pushed all together in the previous semester. I hope thst is not the case with the current and the future semesters because it was very hectic and hard for us to complete the assignments but also study for the tests

I think from the third year the placement start on employment rader 9.5 Not aware about the packages there is in the field of statistics sociology philosophy economic like I can explain it by colleges

English Literature has always been my field of interest and I love that I get to do it from this specific college. The faculty for the department is 100/10. The syllabus that is set is quite relevant to the current world progressions. Regarding exams, subject like English Literature demands alot of attention to detail as well as thorough understanding of each and every term. Time given is 2 hours which is good but can never be enough in a field like English literature

The curriculum is systematic and the members are helpful and kind. I chose this course because it has theories and I preferred literature above mathematics so yes this was my reason! The student ratio is higher than other girls' colleges because it only focuses on the studies. The teaching method is very good and the qualifications are great because BA is based on literature. 6 sems are there which needs to be cleared followed by 3 years. Last year is difficult where you need to choose 1 or 2 subjects.

I was really intrested in English literature and there was no better option than sophia for an all girls college. The arts section in the college is best known for. The teaching staff is extremely helpful in all ways. The professors try to give their attention to every student. The syllabus was quite different from other colleges as it was autonomous. It was very creative keeping in mind the future studies of the students. The exams were difficult but it also trained out minds and helped us to have for best foot forward. The quality of teaching is extremwly good. I was personally very satisfied with the qualitg.

From semester 6, students are eligible to apply for the placements. I am not sure about the placements and the starting salary for it as of now. My plans after getting a BA psychology degree would be to apply for masters. I'd love to pursue Industrial Psychology in the future. And I wish to study it in Canada or Europe hopefully.

As I wanted to pursue my career in Psychology, this college was reputed for having an amazing teaching faculty for Psychology. The thing I like about this college is the hustle and amazing professors in all departments.

They are known for their amazing Faculty. It is an autonomous college, abundant resources in the library. The various departments of education in the college are English, Political Science, History, Psychology, Economics, Sociology, Philosophy, Hindi, Education, Mathematics and Stats, Life Science, Zoology, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Physics, Office Management, BMM, French, IT.

It's one of the best arts college in Mumbai. The English Faculty is excellent. I have been interested in literature from the very start. The college atmosphere is extremely empowering and supportive. There's many extracurricular possibilities as well.

Administration team is very rude to students sometimes and does not get the work done on time. Also the attendance system is pretty messed up as we have an app for it to count and it sometimes shows wrong number of days attended
