Sophia College for Women Mumbai offers a wide range of UG and PG programs across Arts, Science, and Vocational streams. Admission to UG and PG is conducted primarily through merit-based selection.

Sophia College For Women Diploma and Certification Courses Admission 2025

Sophia College for Women also offers Diploma and Certification courses to the students. Diploma at graduation level is DCA which stands for Diploma in Clinical Analysis. At the post graduate level, the students can also opt for PGDQA which is Post Graduate Diploma in Quality Assurance. The certification course offered is CLM which is Certification in Laboratory Management.

For DCA, candidates must pass B.Sc. / M.Sc. in relevant subjects, for PGDQA, candidates must pass B.Sc. degree and for CLM, candidates must pass BSc/ MSc/DCA/DMLT courses respectively. Admission to these courses is done on the basis of an interview.

Sophia College For Women Application Process 2025

Sophia College for Women application forms can be obtained from the college office or can be downloaded from the official website of the college. Candidates can apply by following the given steps:

The application forms are available only after the declaration of HSC and SSC results.
Christian minorities have to apply directly to the college by visiting the office.
Other candidates have to apply online by visiting the official website of the college.
After admission is complete, students have to submit original plus photocopy of Passing certificate, Mark sheets and Migration certificate.
After the admission is granted, the full fee is payable by the student.

Great Haven to Break From Your Shell

Admission:

In Mumbai, Sophia at least has a bit of greenery and space. It has a central lawn and a nice environment. I chose this college for the name it holds and its alumni. I was also happy with the course i was granted here. I did apply to two other colleges but did not get the subjects i wanted. To get admission in Sophia, you have to register in the Mumbai University site first and then in the Sophia College For Women official site. After that, all notices will be sent to the registered email. The merit list will also be mailed. There are 3 merit lists, and they come out with gaps of around 1 to 2 weeks. The first list usually consists of previous alumni of the college who have done their JC there, those who have scored well in their 12th boards and the ones under Christian reservations. The second list consists of the ones coming after the ones who scored well for their 12th boards in sequence, and those looking to avail hostel seatings in the college. The remaining are in the third list. After this, an amount will be needed to be paid as adimission fees to secure your admission to the college.

Admission:

The eligibility is that you should be HSC passed with above 50% in all the subjects.the merit list is based on the percentage secured in HSC board exams. Life in a college!

Admission:

You at least need 70% and above to be eligible. Online admission form is available and even offline admission is done. I haven't heard about the reservation quotas. Nothing needs to be improved. Everything is done systematically and professionally so it is very convenient and easy for us to get admission to this college.

Sophia college for women(autonomous)

Admission:

Sophia was not my first choice. I was enrolled in siddhart college which was not upto my expectations. In the final merit list, I was granted admission to Sophia college for women(autonomous). I had opted for the arts stream which had the criteria of atleast 70% in the 10th std. The college office had a list of students who were given a chance to get into this college. Only those students were given the admission forms. The staff was very helpful and guided me really well through the process.
