The college admission process for B.Tech courses is through JEE Mains or CET entrance exams, without interviews or group discussions. Initially held offline, the counseling is now online, and admissions are based on entrance exam ranks. The college is known for its qualified faculty, with most holding M.Tech or Ph.D. degrees, recruited mainly through UPSC. The fee structure for B.Tech is economical at 35,000 to 40,000 INR annually, much lower than other institutions like DTU, where fees are around 70,000 INR.
Scholarships for Delhi residents and reserved categories reduce financial burdens. Placement opportunities start from the 3rd year, with 70-80% placement rates annually. Companies like Infosys, Godrej, and Amazon participate, offering packages between 4-6.5 LPA on average, with some off-campus offers reaching 22 LPA. Internships begin in the 2nd year with companies like NTPC and Delhi Metro, though many students seek these externally. The college provides scholarships for EWS, SC/ST, OBC, and minority communities, with significant fee relaxations.
However, transitioning to DSEU saw first-year fees rise to Rs 1.5 lakh, totaling around Rs 7 lakh for the course, with scholarships potentially covering 25% to 100% of fees. The need for college-provided scholarships and internships remains a concern.
