According to her, “See, I chose this college because it is nearer to my area, and SDMIT has a good name in other fields also. I also liked Puttur Vivekananda College, which is an excellent college in all aspects, but I have to do 2 2-hour journey for that. I need 20 minutes to reach my college. So, see the difference in timing. The timing is also important, right? I didn't get rejected from any colleges I elect this college on my own Admission process is there like other colleges no big difference other fees like exam fees or any fees will be includes in admission fees only so that's the good thing Many BE students preferred GATE exam I don't have that much idea about so look for it Overall admission process is well and good I will rate 9/10.” Read More

SDMIT Admission 2025 FAQs
Ques. Is counselling required for admission in SDMIT?
Ans. Counselling is compulsory for admission to SDMIT if you are seeking admission through KCET or COMEDK, since both undergo a centralised online counselling process as directed by the respective authorities. The candidates need to register, undergo document verification, fill out college preferences, and undergo seat allotment rounds depending on the entrance exam rank. The students who are eligible may approach the SDMIT admission office directly, pay the fees, and get the admission formalities done without going through the centralised counselling process.

Ans. SDMIT also provides a direct admission facility through the management quota, in which students can get admitted to the course without subjecting themselves entirely to regular entrance-based counselling. Candidates, irrespective of whether they are from Karnataka, other parts of India, or NRI, are still required to fulfil minimum eligibility criteria like passing 10+2 with specified percentages and scoring well in K‑CET, COMEDK, JEE, or AIEEE. Upon satisfying the eligibility criteria, the eligible students can contact the SDMIT Admission Coordinator or office directly to finalise the application process on the basis of academic merit and ranking. The management quota process generally involves furnishing the required documents, application form, payment of the required fee, and final payment in order to secure the seat.
