Likes

Faculty because they are from the same field and have the best experience and lessons to teach us.
Scholarships are also available on merit basis to the top 40 candidates and girls have special scholarships.
The registration process for the hostels is very easy because it is included in the semester fees and it is pretty affordable and worth it for the value it provides.

Dislikes

None other than less holiday,but that is also one of the disadvantages of being in this course
The ground is not well maintained and long grass are pressent
The fees required is very much is not worth it

BEST MARITIME INSTITUTE IN INDIA

Likes

Facilities provided in TMI are top notch
Training provided here is best workshop and ship in campus help to learn and improve all skills required on ship
Faculties here are very supportive and they teach you about all new technologies in shipping industry .

Dislikes

Hostel rooms are little small in H1 so if you get H2 you are lucky .

Course Curriculum Overview:

In this course you get to learn about marine machineries ,some subjects from mechanical ,sone from electrical and also from CS so this curriculum we can say is combination of all engineering in one. All subjects we learn here are going to help us some other the other time in life No engineering has 9 subjects and 4 practicals in one semester but we have it here and for all semester it is almost same .

TMI IN OVERALL TERM

Likes

Infrastructure, faculty, facilities , the sports facilities, the motivation of the faculty to teach is really high
The building is nice and the workshop is equipped with the necessary machinery
The way the students and teachers interaction takes place here is one of a kind

Dislikes

None other than less holiday,but that is also one of the disadvantages of being in this course

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our syllabus and curriculum is based on IMU, and one can firmly believe the way it is taught is here is better than IMU colleges itself on various grounds. The various competency courses one has to go through before joining this carrer is very well taught. The mix between thoery and practical is kept well balanced. The difficulty of exam is kept fairly high than what is expected in the exams for a better preparation . No areas of improvement needed according to me

Likes

Very good infrastructure. Workshop is well equipped.PVD ( the ship) helps us to gain more practical knowledge about a ship .
Faculties are very knowledgeable and also approchable. A LRC with well amount of books and computers where you can study peacefully.
Placement scenario is very good here both for Nautical science and marine engineering. Many companies will come here for recruitment. All you need is to keep all clear in every sem...then only you will be able to sit for company interview.

Dislikes

The fees is high compared to some other colleges.

Tolani Maritime Institute the best marine college

The infrastructure of campus and it's a very beautiful place ,calm environment.All indoor and outdoor gmes facilities are there including swimming. For class rooms, smart projects are provided with wifi for students. Library resource is very good.
The placements are good for Btech marine engineering and other courses. Most companies xame in 2-4 yr for placement and all are international companies. The starting salary is around 500$ per months
The hostel facility is also good and mess food is quite better as compared to ither colleges mess

placements are good , around 95% of batch get placed in the academic years and rest of them get placed after passing out through college only . The highest package is 900-1000$ per month as per the company contract.

Good campus area, greenery, good sports facilities available
Faculty interaction is very good they are supportive
Good alumini network across world in renowned shipping giants

Dislikes

Remote area far away from main city pune
Poor mobile network in campus although they provide LAN
Vast syllabus for btech 8 subjects per semester

Placement Experience:

College placement is good around 90% of students are placed from each batch. They just have to keep their academic good perform good in studies and non academics. They will be get placed in shipping giants from around the world overall placement is good even if u don't get placed from college they will provide you assistance from outside

Provision of facilities available in academic and hostel premises both .
Location of campus and cleanliness within the campus.
Placement record of college since the beginning .

Dislikes

Unfavorable weather condition is foremost.
Too much focus on senioring hierarchy is not good.
Distance between the academic block and hostel is too much.

The course curriculum is not that much perfect as in every sem's duration is not fixed . But every sem's compilation of subject is very good. The course consist of all required subjects necessary for the development of a marine engineering cadet.

An overview about how things work at Tolani Maritime Institute.

Likes

Placements because everyone here geta placed at the end of the day.
Infrastructure because we are able to live here comfortably without any hassle.
The people here are very warm and welcoming so we can easily mingle here.

Dislikes

The admission process is very lengthy gere and confusing sometimes.
The fees could be a little expensive for certain people as it is about 2380000 without including unexpected expenses.
The syllabus and the number of subjects are a lot so it does get hectic sometimes.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placements from the first year. The companies that have visited are NYK and wallem and have offered from 25000-35000. Well the salary range from 25000-50000 for cadet ship. In tolani maritime institute 100% of studens get placed by the end of the 4th year. After getting my degree and getting placed I'll be going for sailing with my company.

My experience with Tolani Maritime Institute

Likes

Infrastructure because of all the amenities provided and that we are surrounded by a lake.
People here are very welcoming and make us feel like home.
Placements because everyone at tolani maritime institute will get placed at the end of their 4hh year.

Dislikes

Admission is a very lengthy process to get inro the college.
A lot of syllabus to study from so it gets hard to cover the whole syllabus
The overall location of the college is far from city so its hard to reach the city fast.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for college placements from the first year. The companies that have visited are NYK and wallem and they have offered from 25000-35000. My experience at Tolani Maritime Institute

Likes

Placements are very good here everyone will get placed
Infrastructure and nature helps us study and live a good life within the college
The people here are very welcoming so it gets easy to blend in.

Dislikes

Admissions could be a lengthy process while registering
Sometimes it gets hard to manage fun and studies here.
A lot of subjects and syllabus to study so it sometimes gets difficult to cover everything

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placements from the first year itself. The company that has visited till now are NYK, Wallem, Msc shipping, maresk. The range of offers vary from 25000-75000 for cadet ship. There is 100% placement here at tolani maritime institute. I'll be going into sailing after my degree for my cadet ship.

Placements because everyone in this college gets placed by their final year
Infrastructure because we are surrounded by a lake and havs a ship in our campus
Faculty because they are from the same field and have the best experience and lessons to teach us.

Dislikes

Exam schedule because there are back to back exams and the evaluation is strict.
Lengthy process to get into the college and long writing time.
A lot of subjects to study in every semster which makes things difficult.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from the first year itself because of the demand for people in this industry. Till now in the first year Wallem has come and taken about 10 Students and has offered 250 dollars for cadet ship. The highest package is about 700000 annually. You need to be getting above 75% to get placed as soon as possible. After getting the degree and getting placed I'll be going on board for cadet ship with my company.
