Course Curriculum Overview
Well I've always wanted to be a sailor when I was young and tolani is the best college in india to do this so I had to chase my passion. Well this course helps to build discipline into our lives and helps us in all the other aspects of life. Well the improvements should be done in reducing the syllabus as it gets very hectic sometimes. Well there are 2 class tests and a semester exam which is easy if prepared properly.
Internships Opportunities
The companies that have visited here are NYK, BSM, MSC shipping, Goodwood, EPS, Wallem and many other companies and they have offered from 25000-50000. And they ask us to do cadetship with their company which is to go on a sail for 6 months with the company.
Placement Experience
The students are eligible for placements from the first year. The companies that have visited are NYK and wallem and have offered from 25000-35000. Well the salary range from 25000-50000 for cadet ship. In tolani maritime institute 100% of studens get placed by the end of the 4th year. After getting my degree and getting placed I'll be going for sailing with my company.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition keeps hiking up as this is an upcoming field so more and more people want to get into it as a result they increase fees to filter out students. The complete cost of my education will be around 2380000 including everything. There are scholarships given to students who make it to the top 40 students in the semester exam and they get from 10000-40000 which will be deducted from their fees.
Campus Life
The major fest at tolani is called horizon which is a 3 day event and is held in the month of November. There are all kinds of books available in the library from science fiction to college textbooks you name it and it's here. Well all our classrooms are fully air conditioned. The students can play all kinds of sports like basketball, football, tennis, table tennis, squash and Many more sports. There are a number of clubs available here for the self development of students here at tolani maritime institute.
Hostel Facilities
Well the hostels are fully equipped with things that help us live comfortably. The quality of meals here are great with different cuisines served on rotation every week. The registration process for the hostels is very easy because when you pay the fees the hostel fees is included in the main semester fees so it is very easy to register along with that it is pretty affordable and for what they offer it is worth it.
Admission
Well here at tolani maritime institute you should have a minimum of 60% aggregate in PCM in your board exams other than that you need to have a good rank in IMUCET that is it should be below 4000 rank and you should clear your TMISAT along with your interview. All the application form can be found in www.tmi.tolani.edu. Yes you can get reservations if you belong to SC, ST or OBC. The admission exams are moderate in level and can be cracked easily with some preparation. Well the admission process takes a long time as it is very lengthy.
