Facilities provided in TMI are top notch
Training provided here is best workshop and ship in campus help to learn and improve all skills required on ship
Faculties here are very supportive and they teach you about all new technologies in shipping industry .

Dislikes

Hostel rooms are little small in H1 so if you get H2 you are lucky .

Course Curriculum Overview

In this course you get to learn about marine machineries ,some subjects from mechanical ,sone from electrical and also from CS so this curriculum we can say is combination of all engineering in one. All subjects we learn here are going to help us some other the other time in life No engineering has 9 subjects and 4 practicals in one semester but we have it here and for all semester it is almost same .

Class Size: 200Course Fees: INR 500000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees from Btech marine enginering course is 24-25 lakhs which include everything hostel,mess ,laundry all inclusive . Need cum merit based scholarships : it's provided to 3 students from each batch they get 30 k for each sem . Scholarships for toppers top 40 students girls also have many scholarships Stipend awarded is approx 3lpa to 4.5 lpa

Campus Life

Campus Life is best here you get to learn and play many sports like Football ,Basketball, Table tennis ,Badminton ,Squash ,Lawn tennis , and many more . Also gym is provided for all years There are many clubs here which are headed by any one faculty along with any of cadet . Clubs here are: Cyber security club MMA club Adventure club Astronomy club Pi club And many more.

Admission

Eligibility criteria 12 PCM :60% + Apply for TMISAT Clear TMISAT Clear TMISAT interview Clear medicals from any DG approved Doctor Also to take admission in any marine institute you have to compulsory clear IMUCET and have a good AIR in that . This process is for BTech marine enginering .

Faculty

For each subjects their are 2,3 faculties so whenever you are having doubts you can go to them for asking help and they never say no . Approach of all faculties is like to teach in way all the students are able to understand ,they make all topics easy to understand by giving examples . From morning 8:30 to evening 4:30. Faculties are available in their cubicle if not having lectures so you can interact with them at that time also sone faculties are staying here in campus only so you can call them and also interact with them in campus.

Honest review if you wanna opt for this college

Likes

The girls to boy ratios is good, we get to see all girls equal contributing in the college
The faculty is good, they are very helpful and give good guidance
The boys and girls common room is good to get together with friends to chill and study

Dislikes

Faculty being good they are sassy and might ignore for a time to teach you that not everything will be entertained
The principal is kinda rude and his speech is too long
Well other activities like sports isn't support properly

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem students are eligible for placement Companies visited are tcs and few others i don't remember their names The average package is 5 lpa and the highest is 13 lpa Mostly 80-90% of students gets placement as they do a placement training for us amd prepares us for the placement exams and interviews and all My personal plan is to go abroad for higher studies but i am going to sit for placement if i get good package then i might not go to abroad for higher studies

PES College of Engineering: Overview of the college

Likes

The campus of the college is vast with a natural environment
Many facilities like library, sophisticated labs, and classrooms are provided by the college
The Teachers cover each and every point of the syllabus and guide the students.

Dislikes

The syllabus is a little bit outdated, that is some points in the syllabus may seems boring and not applicable in the real world.
The Teachers should use the right techniques for teaching which makes the students more engaging in the class.
The menu of the canteen must contain some health option in a budget friendly way.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

I really liked the infrastructure of the college its very nice and has good environment .
DPCOE is famous for its sports , it has massive turf where kids of 4 to 5 age has their matches
Also i like my department , as i am an automobile engineering we need most practical knowledge , this college offers a big workshop just for us an also yearly event for automobile students . Also clubs are there which has reputation of national rank

Dislikes

I kind of felt that faculty can be biased sometimes also do not care what and how we want to study .
Watchman can be little rude sometimes , also informing that their are exam coming in next week are to be informed at leat 10 days before. I have a suggestion of preparing acadamic calender of year

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

College campus, it is big, not much conjusted, good nature friendly
Freedom upto some level, no uniforms, no ID compulsion unless it is an exam
Events,every now and then there are events in college, cultural club is also too good here👍

Dislikes

Faculty is not much well qualified or well trained I would say
Hectic curriculum, boring schedules and quite unlivable
Labs and classrooms are too old, infrastructure is very old

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student,and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.

Not that much strict environment than many of the college.

Dislikes

Campus is huge but is mostly empty need of development.
Need of infrastructure and sports facility for students.
Need of contact no. Of emergency contact of the staff.

Placement Experience:

I talk with most of the senior and faculty and placement cell start of 3 rd year you will get internship opportunities and and in 4 th year you will get placement opportunity. But senior told me off campus placement preparation must be go on you will find good opportunity. Highest package is 12 lpa and average is 4 lpa is good for freshers.

my college is in rural division so i liked the nature and environment of the college most and the college is have rural position and college have bus facility so all the student from poor family are is admitted in this college
my college have bus facility for the students
college have good campus in rural area and the college is good

college have no placement for the students
college having some times electricity short
college have some students water issue for drinking

I like my college building,classes,labs.
Canteen is good.it provides good quality food.
Library is best. Very nice management and staff

Dislikes

Canteen is good but they must increase their staff.
Class should be sound proof.noice from outside disturbs.
Stationary staff should be increased and price should be decreased.

Placement Experience:

From sem 7 students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Accenture,Wipro, Microsoft, HyperVerge have visited college. In 2020 highest package was 30 lac per annum by Amazon. Last year only 40% students got the placement. I am planning for competitive exams after degree.

Some departments here were really great like ETC and Mechanical with a unique culture going on
AIML and AIDS being new branches here are still doing their job very well for the students

Dislikes

The Students section not really tends to help ,as i saw many financially weak students facing the problem of 1 time payment fees and their request for part payments option is always rejected
Infrastructure is decent but in summer season the water coolers are just useless there ,no cooler will give you cold water

Some courses were to the point like IOT was well designed and DSA too with java programming side by side ,still as i said AIML is new branch and needs much enhancements ,the areas where they can improve was always practicals and labs those were always taken casual as i remember

Hello, The infrastructure of the college is top class.
Their are multiple events in the college every month.
The faculty of the college are also well experienced as well as very friendly.

Dislikes

There are no AC in all the class only some of the class have AC

Placement Experience:

The placement percentage in my college is nearly 70-80%. The minimum package offered is 2.5 LPA and the highest is nearly 33 LPA . The average package is 4-5 LPA. Many companies vists are college as our college is NAAC accredited which has a grade of A+.

I applied to IMU Kolkata,Mumbai Port campus and Chennai alongwith it I also applied to AMET. I got selected in every college except AMET and I feel that Tolani Maritime Institute provides us with better facilities in every aspects compared to the other colleges I applied for. A review about my institute

12 th pass with 60% in pcm and 50% in English. 10th pass. You can find the application form on the Tolani Maritime Institute website. Application fees is 1500. It depends after the imucet examination. First candidate need to appear for the imucet examination and then after when he or she passes the exam with good rank than that individual he she can apply the form for tolani maritime institute which is available on the tmi website. Reservation doesn't happened here according to me. I exactly don't know the reservation process. See according to me there is no need for any improvement in tolani maritime institute. one thing they can do is that they take their own examination namely tmisat and after that interview takes place but the interview was online and according to me it should happen offline and also physical test should be there because there are so many candidates who are not physically fit.
