Mentorship is good here and professor is well experienced here some are new , the interaction with teacher is good .
There is a merit cum scholarship provided to students having a family income of less than 5 lakhs per year and who maintain greater than or equal to 6.5 cpi or above in 1st semester.
The most important thing i like of my college is its beauty.

Dislikes

Hostel life is good but outside college campus there is as such no happening life and inside hostel there is gym , commercial complex , football ground , basketball ground , and mess food quality is average not that good
I also don't like the faculty it is not very trained
No single room is in hostel for each year and college is in outskirts

Honest Review Of RGIPT

My department's faculty is literally the best they are knowledgeable and they know how to convey the knowledge too.

Dislikes

The placement. It is very low and not guaranteed.
Corruption is going on a lot these days. The management keeps doing stupid things to count for the funds sent by the government.
The attitude of some of the faculty members towards students. Some are good but most of them are so arrogant that students are afraid to get into arguments with them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The teaching methods of the faculty is very good if I talk about petroleum department. Talking about the others, I've heard they are really very bad and a lot of them don't even know what they are teaching. According to me, the syllabus is very relevant to the real world applications and other examinations for further studies as well. We have mid sems about 1.5 months after starting of the semester and end sems after 1 month of it. It is suitable enough to prepare the syllabus.

This institute is national importance of college.
This tag of national importance is along the line of IITs
Took admission from jee advanced and if seat remain (usually not happen)then with jee mains.

Dislikes

The campus is given of 250 acres land but this time it only awarded by 70-80 acres lands
The nearby market is really far away we have to go to reabareli or to Lucknow.
No football ground and no swimming pool.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario here is better than other other gfti nd fewer nits and iits. Previous year their is 98% campus placement in chemical and 70% year campus placement in oil & gas. Highest package in chemical is some what 18lakh and in petroleum is 22 lakh Average package of chemical engineering is 12.5 lakh, and in petroleum engineering is 15 lakh. My first priority will be the campus placement and then gate and then gate cse.

Our College

Likes

Research laboratory are equipped with lots of equipment.
Environment of our hostel is good. No ragging will be done inside the campus.
Professors are highly qualified in our department.

Dislikes

Unavailability of playground, more playground are required.
Placement scenario are not much satisfying.
Cricket ground must be built inside the campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

In 1st year overall eveyone are getting taught with same curriculum while from second year core subjects of specific brenches are introduced. Teaching methods are good and sufficient labs are provided to enhance our knowledge.

Campus life was very good and students are feeling good and having freedom to explore
Placement was good my senior were placed in reputed companies
Faculty are good and supportive and helps in every difficulty

Dislikes

Campus area was little bit small campus area was about 60acres
Remote area Little bit looking like village area around the college
After covid and recession placement was little bit slow

Placement Experience:

In my college placement scenario was good.So many companies like HMEL,BPCL,IOCL,GAIL, Torrent gas,Shell, OIL ,HLS Asia CPCL.TCS,etc visited in last 2 months for campus placement.In third year 6 semester students are eligible for PPO.

Placement Experience:

Coming to placements. PSUs directly recruit from our campus the avg package of the petroleum engg department in 2020 was 10.98 LPA which is quite decent. After IIT Dhanbad it's the next best college having a petroleum engineering branch.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year u can internship from college ongc, Bharat petroleum and many other big companies visited our on campus placement last year highest package I'd 25 lakh per annum and avg is 12 lakh per annum ongc selected 12 students approx 70% students got placement I am going join ongc with 30 lakh packages.

Remarks:

It is definitely an IIT and you can say that you're and IITian as well. This course is taken up by very less people around the country although it is the highest paid course in engineering. Many big companies give placement offers also.

It is very highly reputed for petroleum engineering branch as only two government colleges offer this course, RGIPT and ISM Dhanbad, and infact RGIPT has better placement records and infrastructure is also good.
