Review about Marian Engineering College

Likes

The this which is the stand out is the environment provided in the college.
The labs and the classroom are well equipped.
The faculty available in the college is well experienced.

Dislikes

The does not provide much co-curricular activity.
Sports related activities are conducted once a year

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course depends on the subject. Computer science is the simplest course,so many people opt this as their main subject. Other courses are not that complicated,but personally computer science is simple when compared to other courses .

Placement Experience:

Placement training have started from 3 year itself and most students get placed as our college is situated near the IT hub of trivandrum most companies come here for recruitment and offer decent packages

MARIAN ENGINEERING COLLEGE - AN ACADEMIC GIANT

Likes

Efficient teachers, the teachers are very committed to their profession and help students anytime
Good infrastructure, there are multiple labs with enough equipment for 60 students at a time, the buildings and campus area are also very good.
Strict management, which implements anti-ragging cell and all other required features for students to study peacefully

Dislikes

Very few opportunity for practicing arts and sports

Placement Experience:

The placements are very efficient, there is a placement cell that administrates this. The placements begin in semester 6, there are placement drives from companies like Google, Amazon, Infosys, UST, Quest Global, IBS, TATA etc. Last year there were almost 100 placements for the CSE department alone. The highest salary package is not clear, but an average of 25000 per month is expected. almost 85% of students without backlogs are placed.

Likes

friends are basically my first preference
faculty are also not that revenge minded

Dislikes

absence of freedom having basically no powers in college
we cnt express ourselves in front of our faculties in fear of internal mark reduction

Placement Experience:

Around 6-7 sem they become eligible for campus placements. Basically, companies like ust global, Infosys, IBM, etc., and other Ngo companies are also present. The highest package is around 12 lakh per yr and the average pack is 1 lakh per annum. 90-95 percent get placement. I am planning to take a pg course at the moment thinking of taking mba at a high-standard university.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Teaching is good and most of the faculty are friendly. But there are fewer other activities like intercollege, sports, and arts. Students should be let to have fun occasionally. Exams are conducted properly. Adequate number of faculty to students ratio.

Faculties are thr best in our college compared to other colleges
We have the best faculties who takes more effort to help the children

Dislikes

Sports , there is no sports period in our timetable
There is no sports period in the time table

Placement Experience:

Marine engineering college has most of the placements from Technopark. About 50 percent of students are getting placed each year. From 6 th semester students are eligible for campus placements in marine Engineering college.

Nice college to study

Course Curriculum Overview:

I want to become a software engineer so I choose this course. The qualification of the faculties are excellent. And all faculties know very much about this course. Term exams are coming after 5 months. Not difficult to pass. All teachers are up to date.

The atmospehre is very calm and good and is situated in a good locality.
good sports facilities are available here. football, basketball, cricket and other athletic events are available for students to participate

Dislikes

Sometimes the class schedules can be frustrating.
The transportation facility from the college is a bit average
strict attenndance marking by teachers even when u cam late for 10 mins

Placement Experience:

I'm currently studying in college. I am a second-year student. the college offers placement training sessions. They have also started giving these trainings from 1st year onwards. Students are placed to many top companies like IBM, Infosys, and many others.

Our College

Likes

Good faculities who helps in academics and placements.
Good canteen and caffeteria providing quality food items
Good library providing all the necessary books.

Dislikes

Lack of co -curricular activities and sports.
The college is not entertaining any sports activities much
The college not entertains any periods for other activities including arts

Placement Experience:

When we reach semester 6 the placements start and they are preferring students without back papers for this. The companies like COGNIZANT, QUEST, and INFOSYSIS are providing job offers for students.

The college canteen is nice and packed with items.
There are certain grather around places to hang around.
The atmosphere provide a great ambiance for the students.

Dislikes

The bus facility to reach the college is so hard.
The timing of the college working hours is large.
There is no promotives to any sports activities.

Placement Experience:

There are good placement opportunities. Companies like UST, QUEST, INFOSIS, etc promise great employment opportunities for college students. There also conduct certain training before entering into any placement test.
