Course Curriculum Overview

Faculties are good, well-educated, and capable of teaching each and every student. They provide extra classes for those who are not able to catch up on the subject, I choose cs because I was interested in programing.

Class Size: 63Course Fees: INR 87280 per year

Internships Opportunities

Each semester Marian engineering college provides internship opportunities, that helped many students to improve their skills and acquire new knowledge and benefits. Most of the students have participated in internships conducted by the college.

Placement Experience

Marine engineering college has most of the placements from Technopark. About 50 percent of students are getting placed each year. From 6 th semester students are eligible for campus placements in marine Engineering college.

Fees and Financial Aid

It's around 100000 per year, From the 6th semester we are having opportunities for jobs in our college. The computer science batch has more placements compared to other branches. Colleges provide scholarships based on entrance rank.

Campus Life

Marian engineering college has a well-developed infrastructure. Marian engineering college has good facilities, classes, playgrounds, and sports activities. We have an excellent library which helps many students.

Admission

The admission process was good. I wrote keam exam. For computer science, I think so 30000 rank was the cut-off. I have got 24564 ranks so I was able to get my admission in computer science at Marian college of Engineering.

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

From 6th semester onwards students are eligible for internship and placement opportunities. Main companies visiting the campus are IBM , TCS ,TATA ELXSI,L&T, Cognizant,Toshiba,Vanenburg,Kalkitech,Sobha,Mrf ,Juspay,Dynolt and many more. 70 % students get placement Highest package is 16 lpa and average is 5 lpa After degree higher studies can be considered.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

The length of course curriculum is very short. It is very difficult for both students and teachers to complete the syllabus in limited time period.The exam timing are also very conjusted and students are facing many difficulties because of it .

the course curriculum is lakhs relevance to modern industry demands. while it covers the basics there is minimum focus on practical skills emerging technologies and real world applications overall, the courses not comprehensive enough.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

Well to be eligible for this course you got to have atleast 70% mark in 12th and you also have to pass the neet entrance exam. The application process was easy. Everything can be done online.
