The college canteen is nice and packed with items.
There are certain grather around places to hang around.
The atmosphere provide a great ambiance for the students.

Dislikes

The bus facility to reach the college is so hard.
The timing of the college working hours is large.
There is no promotives to any sports activities.

Course Curriculum Overview

They are super supportive and are always ready to solve all our doubts at any instance of time. This course curriculum helps in obtaining many future job opportunities and is also so much more attractive to study.

Placement Experience

There are good placement opportunities. Companies like UST, QUEST, INFOSIS, etc promise great employment opportunities for college students. There also conduct certain training before entering into any placement test.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college is providing a maximum fee of 88000 if we are joining using the merit list. I we have a rank hold of below 30000 then we are eligible to attain a scholarship and also provide certain fee reduction policies.

The life around the campus is most beautiful and has a great ambiance to provide a proper free mindset. They are providing enough freedom to the students. There occur certain activities on a regular basis.

Admission

I applied for Keam to enter into an engineering field. The eligibility or cutoff was to obtain a minimum rank hold. I was able to join the college through the allotment process. If we obtain a rank below 30000 they would provide us with so scholarship for the fee compensation.

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

From 6th semester onwards students are eligible for internship and placement opportunities. Main companies visiting the campus are IBM , TCS ,TATA ELXSI,L&T, Cognizant,Toshiba,Vanenburg,Kalkitech,Sobha,Mrf ,Juspay,Dynolt and many more. 70 % students get placement Highest package is 16 lpa and average is 5 lpa After degree higher studies can be considered.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Is engineering here worth it?

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
