Likes

The atmospehre is very calm and good and is situated in a good locality.
good sports facilities are available here. football, basketball, cricket and other athletic events are available for students to participate

Dislikes

Sometimes the class schedules can be frustrating.
The transportation facility from the college is a bit average
strict attenndance marking by teachers even when u cam late for 10 mins

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course as I wanted to become a coding expert and this stram can offer me the foundational steps in achieving it. The faculties are well experienced and are able to handle a large number of students . There consists of 2 series examinations and an end sem exam. the series exams are moderate whereas the end sem exams should be well prepared as it may or may not be easy.

Internships Opportunities

The college provided me with an internship opportunity but collaborating with a good company and making it available on college. I cannot remember the name of the company but the feedback was very good from the students.

I'm currently studying in college. I am a second-year student. the college offers placement training sessions. They have also started giving these trainings from 1st year onwards. Students are placed to many top companies like IBM, Infosys, and many others.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are a bit increased after the covid hit but it is manageable. Many scholarship offers and other fee concessions are available. Also, the fees cam be installed in a given time period. The management can sometimes be a bit careless while giving this fee concession so we can get it by writing a rq letter to the manager.

Campus Life

There are 3 types of fests here: college day, inter-college fes(Tejasvi), and also tech fests. These are usually conducted on even semesters. Other than that Onam, Christmas and Holi are celebrated. The library consists of all types of books for gaining knowledge. Sports days are conducted every year.

Placement Experience:

Placements cells are supportive in terms of networking with different companies and are readily active for the students competing in getting internships and placements. The college has a tie up with different companies like Infosys , Wipro , Deloitte , IBM , NVIDIA , Deshaw Private Limited etc. Students become eligible from semester 5 onwards for on campus placements. The offers made by these companies are 8 LPA to 9 LPA by deloitte , innfosys , and IBM but the highest package is being offered by Deshaw and NVIDIA that is 60 LPA and 47 LPA. The average package is around 11 LPA and the percentage of students getting placed are above 80%. My plan after getting the degree is to work for an IT Company to get the hands on knowledge about what the current technologies demand and get experienced in that and work further upon it.

From the semester 7 onwards the placement interview will begin.The company's like Infosys,Sutherland etc.But if we are doing externally that is also good.I'm planning on improving my skills first and then going abroad. The average package available would be 4 lakh per annum.

Experience as a first year student at NIT calicut

Placement Experience:

Here we recieve a really high number of offers this year it was around 970, The highest package received this year was 44.42 lpa and average was around 12 lpa Accenture, Bharat electronics limited are few of the top hirers, intel and nvidia also hire from here they are more relevant for ece students The percentage of students getting placed is 81% I will most probably try for a direct placement, I'm not thinking about higher studies(MTECH)after UG but that might change in the future
