MITS Gwalior Faculties : Students' Opinion

AI-Generated Summary based on 517 Reviews

The faculty at this college is predominantly composed of highly qualified individuals, with many holding Ph.D. degrees and having graduated from prestigious institutions such as IITs and NITs. The college offers a diverse array of courses, including B.Tech, MCA, M.Tech, and Ph.D. across multiple disciplines. Notably, the B.Tech program alone comprises nine branches. Faculty members are recognized for their depth of knowledge, with substantial teaching experience, often exceeding 15 years.

They are generally supportive, approachable, and dedicated to student guidance, including career advice and extracurricular involvement. However, the student-to-faculty ratio varies, with some departments experiencing a shortage, impacting the level of personalized attention. The college maintains a robust examination system with two midterm exams and one end-semester exam, alongside separate practical assessments. While the faculty's teaching methods are often praised for being interactive and modern, using tools like PPTs, there are occasional critiques regarding a lack of engagement or outdated teaching methods in certain cases.

Overall, the faculty is well-regarded, contributing significantly to the college's reputation for quality education and student support.

Teaching staff are good, educated, and experienced. Very helpful and support whenever needed. Teaching quality is also good and satisfying, and the nature of the faculty is also good and supportive. The course is so relevant and makes students ready for industry. Semester exams are held in every 6th months when semester ends. Facilities are too good, talented and supportive.I like every teacher because whenever at any moment I need help in studies or practical they help.Exams are conducted three times in one semester.Firstly Minor-1 then Minor-2 and then finally Major exams.Along with these exams quizzes are also there.Exams are of moderate level some questions are easy and some are tough. Only those students fails to clear exam who are irregular in class or not study properly for exams.

Faculty:

The faculty to student ratio in my college is manageable and most teachers are approachable when we need guidance for academic projects and placement many faculty members have strong technical knowledge provide notes and cleared out even outside class hours. I especially appreciate those who focus on practical learning include real world examples and motivate students to participate in competition a few teacher could improve their teaching methods since sometimes lectures feel rust or overly theoretically without enough hands on explanation which can make it harder for students to understand complex topics.

I like Madhav sir, Prateek sir, Deepak sir , Pooja mam , Vandana Mam, Karuna Mam and Nidhi Mam as they are very helpful and generous to help students. The faculty to student ratio is usually around 1:100. The student-teacher relationship is quite good, most faculty members are approachable and don't mind to clear doubts outside usual lecture hours. In our time few professors stood out for their deep subject knowledge and their way of teaching complex topics in simple terms but some of the faculties are still stuck to old school teaching methods. Exams are conducted under semester, with mid-semester 1 and mid-semester 2 as checkpoints. If someone misses either doue to any reason then there's a chance to appear for mid-semester 3. It also includes proficiency, practicals, and continous stream of quizes and assignments also at the end their are end semester exams these exams are most important as they are final exam and if you fail in these then it will lead to repeat the whole semester again.

the faculties are way less with respect to the students they always need teachers from other departments to fulfill it, some of the most remarkable faculties i know are jk muthele sir, minakshi dahiya mam, charu goyal mam, monica bhadoriya mam and atul kumar ray sir they actually understand the problem of students and support them. the teacher's i do not like are devanshu tiwari mam becausw she is a bit partial, and the rest of them are pretty decent. there are two midsems aka minors inn every semester of 20 marks each and the final exam aka major are of 30 marks and mostly come in mcq mode like jee main only maths come in pen paper the minors are pen and paper as well and the rest 30 are scored from quizzes in class. the system is specifically designed to make sure students don't fail and they do rarely fail unless they did not attend the exams.
