Course Curriculum Overview

3

Since I am studying in the RGPV batch, it's the last batch as well, our syllabus is quite outdated; however our professors try their level best to relate with new technologies and a few of them even provide additional content and resources. The teaching method is fine, but the time given for the syllabus is quite less, which often results in a lack of course completion. We have midsem 1 after 1.5 to 2 months after the beginning of the semester, and then after 1 month we have midsem2, followed by practicals, proficiency and end sem exams.

Placement Experience

3

Last year, placements were exceptionally great. Many companies visited the campus, and many students got placed. However, this year it's not looking promising as only 6 to 9 companies might have visited and still we have our placement season going, so lets wait for next 7 months. In college, many students, especially from core branches, prepare for GATE, and the crowd has great interest in CDS exams as many want to go to the army, in the majority of companies roughtly 1500 to 1600 students only apply for placements in tech jobs and in lower branches mostly students get placed as there is less competition and mass recruiters hire the majority of them

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees have been increased for my juniors as they come under a deemed university. I am from the 2023 batch and my fees were as follows: 1,37,650 for the first year, 1,07,700 for the second year, 1,06,200 for the third year, and for the fourth year, it will be 1,06,850 so the overall fees is 4,58,400 Tuition fees need to be paid twice each year(32,500 + 32,500) = 65,000. Automation/IT infra= 6,000 , Library = 5,000 , Professional Development = 5,000 , Maintence fees = 8,000 , Learning fees = 5,000 , Semester fees = 3000, Inovation/Startup =3,000 , Insurance =100 , Lab = 2,500 , Student Welfare = 1000 , Exam fees (1,300 + 1,300) = 2,600. Apart ims fees 450 Fee is the same for all categories but only differ for TWF students, TWF fees is 72,650 for the first year, 42,700 for the second year, 41,200 for the third year and 41,850 for the fourth year Scholarship are as follows SC/ST Scholarship and MMV provides refund of entire fee, their is some OBC scholarship which have 18,000 something of refund apart postmatric scholarship is also there, also students apply for various private scholarships like tata capital, HDFC, SBI too for which the amount varies.

Campus Life

4

Last year we had Aarunya as fest, it was great and a memorable experience, each club conducted events and Rahagir was called to perform and DJ Aaliya for DJ night, the last day performance was done by Bandish (music club), and it was legendary. We also had Enigma, but I didn't participate as had some family function We have Tulsi Mohotsav which is another great time to enjoy!!! Conferences are often held in college and one is this December. Library have books but they have divided books for various categories and each category have different day to issue books however they have ample booka and also have e-library that is also a great option. The New Building of the college is great, it has nice resources; however old building needs a lot of improvements in terms of PCs and projectors. Give great priority to sports and such activities even students can play wherever they want no such restrictions, also students have won many prizes in sports this year MITS have 70+ clubs in college few are dead still they work, even I work in 3 clubs and actively we work, conduct sessions and seminars, expert session and many more. Even we the club members have to submit annual report of our work as well

Admission

In terms of Freedom and Research its the best as it gives great priority to research, but we have IITM Gwalior, which is way to better in labs and other facilities, our labs equipment are outdated; however they have purchased a few new lab equipments for other branches, in terms of placment its not doing well this year still I feel LNCT is going way too better, Infra of college is good, but the crowd of college does not seems impressive Initially, I chose LNCT main campus, but since it was a private college, and MITS was a government college so I opted for MITS over LNCT main campus. Apart from having some financial problems and in government-funded colleges, there are lower fees and have a great scope to opt for a scholarship, so I preferred MITS. Fees was the major reason for me to not go to private colleges, apart back then MITS had a very great placements as well. For admission you can take admission my MP-DTE counselling or by 12th marks as well, generally the prefer students by JEE so advisable to give JEE as remaining seats as filled by CLC round(12th marks based), since I have observed the cutoff is reduced drastically, it can be due to increase in college seats and introducing new branches, also can be because people think now it's private as it's now DU and also due to high fees hike as well

Faculty

Professors are good and have decent knowledge of their domains. Professors are very good with ther nature for students and are supportive, we can meet our professors anytime we want in their cabins easily. I like Madhav sir, Prateek sir, Deepak sir , Pooja mam , Vandana Mam, Karuna Mam and Nidhi Mam as they are very helpful and generous to help students. We have two midsems and the final end sem apart lab exams, and proficiency; majority of students pass in exams, difficulty may vary according to the subjects

Night Life

2

By 7:00pm college is entirely closes so no night life as such, still can enjoy during the events or so. There is open gym however no one uses it, as it's open so many fell shy and often gets crowded, Cafeterias is good, students enjoy infront of amul, and near library we have few stops and then the canteen. Students enjoy and chill , so such restrictions in these places. I was living out so no idea for hsotel but I find it bit expensive Inside college in fron of bandish (music club) is one of the finest places as they generally have someone to sing every time I visit and we their beautiful songs with tea/soda or refreshments in our hands with friends it' like heaven. Then can go to stage ground or statue ground, generally students play in the statue ground. Outside, we have tealogy and another 5 to 6 restaurants where students can enjoy and make use of their leisure time. In day, safety is fine, but late night can't say, as it's hard to say, as we have a wine shop close to college

Course Curriculum Overview:

If i talk about my specific aspect my brother recomment this college for me and as per of my jee scoure 47374 rank this what i get and i forget to apply for Internal branch change thats why this is how i end up . Curriculum is impressive but it good as in there imagination as its not good in real life. If they apply thing perfectly it really help in personal improvement and overall college performance. They should provide more clubs activity and practical soft skills activity as compare to there tight curriculum of constant memorizing courses I score a really good score not difficult that much and have no complain in frequency and timing but there is a story my IT course they faculty fails to complete my 2 units so in end sem i have to prepare it by my own in 10 days from scratch

I would rate it 6/10 because first year subjects and all are mostly unnecessary i guess. Its not required that much. There should be more focus on coding and problem solving in college which is often neglected.frequency and timing are fine of exams.

Yes that is true there is placements happened but average and low placement ratio there is because of students skills but for employability you can placed out of campus that is good option . After getting degree did mtech was good or other government like exam there was option and also out of campus placement with enough skill demand is a better option more than college placements

Campus placements are moderate as comparatively less companies visits every year. Number of students for placements are more and companies visits are less that cause less placement ratio for on campus. Moreover upto the end of 8th semester almost 80% of students get placed both including on campus and off campus. My plan is to get a job after graduation.
