- Campus life and extracurricular activities are limited, resulting in fewer opportunities for social interaction and overall personality development.
Course Curriculum Overview
I would rate the course curriculum as moderately relevant and fairly comprehensive. The structured core subjects and focus on programming fundaments influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a string theoretical base and basic practical exposure, which helps in understanding real worlds concepts and higher studies. However, it needs more industry oriented content, updated technologies and project based learning.
Placement Experience
The placement scenario of my college is average, with students becoming eligible for placements from the 7th semester. Many mass recruiter companies visit the campus, especially for B.tech CSE students such as TCS, Capgemini, Deloitte, Cognizant, Accenture and Wipro, offering multiple roles. The average package offered around 3 LPA, while the highest packages are limited. Around 50-60% of students get placed through campus drives. Even i am also placed from the college through campus drive
Fees and Financial Aid
At my college, SC/ST students can take admission through government scholarship schemes, under their enter course fees are covered, so they do not have to pay any amount. OBC students are also eligible for government scholarships and generally recieve around 30k to 35k per year and also in my college fees is increase every year also for students who score good in jee also receive fees concession.
Campus Life
Overall, campus life is decent but limited. The college organizes and annual cultural fest and technical fest, usually held between febrauary and april, which encourage student participation. The library has adequate academic books and basic journals, though access to advanced research material is limited. Classrooms are equipped with basic facilities like projectors. Sports facilities include common outdoor games like cricket and football. there are some students run clubs and technical groups the help with peer learning, but overall extracurricular exposure could be improved.
Admission
I chose this college maily because of its affordable fee structure, scholarship support and proximity to my home compared to other colleges I applied to. I had also applied to a few private and government colleges, but either the cutoffs were higher or the overall fees were significantly more. The admission process of my college is straightforward. Eligibility is based on 10+2 with the required subjects, also you can call in admission cell and take admission without visiting the college, overall admission experience was smooth and student friendly.
Faculty
The faculty to student ration in my college is around 1:60. Most faculty members are approachable and supportive, especially during exams and project work. Some senior professors are highly knowledgeable and explain concepts clearly, making them best faculties for core subjects. A few faculties lacked engaging teaching methods, which made understanding topic difficult. The course follow a semester system with only a small percentage of students fail. Overall the curriculum is relevant but needs more practical and industry oriented exposure
Interview Experience
There was no group discussion, interview or written test for admission. The process was simple students had to visit the college admission cell and complete the formalities. if a student had appeared for jee the fee was reduced based on their jee score.
Night Life
Nightlife around the campus is quite calm and limited. The gym, library, and cafeteria usually close by 8-9 pm. Hostels have entry restrictions after 10 pm. Students mostly hang out at nearby cafes, street food stalls, and public areas. The locality is generally safe at night but market is not close from the college.
