SIRT Bhopal: Admission 2026, Fees, Courses, Cutoff, Ranking, Placement

SIRT Bhopal is one of the top three reputed and renowned Engineering institutions in India. It is known for its quality education. However, on the other side, it is still a private college. The college provides all the basic facilities.

One of my friends studied here, and according to him, the placements are not up to the mark. It provides basic packages and sometimes no placement. The highest package and average package offered is not much appreciable.

A student from the CS branch received funding of INR 25 lacs for start-up from the government. Students can look for more information from a recent pass-out student from the college.

One of my friends has graduated from LNCT and got placed in a good company. According to him, LNCT is a private college and the best option to choose if you want to make a career in engineering after class 12.

• LNCT has well-experienced faculties.
• The college has a beautiful campus with the best infrastructure, well-maintained laboratories, hygienic hostels.
• The campus is student-friendly with world-class facilities.
• The top-notch companies provide a good placement opportunity with a good average package and this may increase according to your skills.
• The top-notch companies include Infosys, Cognizant and Amdocs.

Hence, from the infrastructure of the college, education quality, campus to placement opportunities provided to the students, LNCT is the best choice for the aspirants of engineering.

SIRT is a much better college than SISTEC. I know some people from SIRT and here’s a brief highlight of the institute based on the information I received from them.

• SIRT is a very good college in terms of education. You will get good faculties over there.
• It has a locational advantage since it is located near the city.
• It has a legacy over 15 years.
• The institute has good recognition among students and corporates.
• The alumni network is quite good with many working in the higher echelons of top MNCs.

My friend was from the 2012-16 batch and he didn’t have a good experience at the institute. Here is what he had to say about the institute.

Faculty:

SIRT Bhopal is indeed a good college that comes along with an even better faculty who are experienced and helpful towards their students. The number of such great faculty members is few in number.

Infrastructure:

The labs are inefficient and there. The "Central Library" they claim to have and boast about has books that are torn. Otherwise, there are decent facilities like a good auditorium, big classes.

Placements:

They claim to give 100% placement, but you will be disappointed eventually. TCS is the only essential MNC to show up and leave with a maximum number of 10 students. Once they have left, all you are left around with are companies that do not offer a satisfactory package.

But if we talk about the management system, it still has a lot to work on.

According to my friends studying in SIRT, it is a very well reputed college in Bhopal if you are planning to pursue Engineering.

• The fee structure for the main SIRT campus is around INR 74,000 for the first year.
• If you opt for the bus service, that might cost an additional INR 12,000 per year.
• The total course fee for CSE is 2.96 lakh.
• If you are planning to apply to the college, you can go to the DTE counseling official site and sign up for registration there.

You can fill up your choices on this form and lock it. You will also come to know about the last date of filling the form for the first round by then.

Having friends in both institutions, I can say that, to decide on a college and to pursue a particular college and course in life, you need to have a proper understanding of your needs and wants. To understand this, answer these three questions:

1. Need to pursue the Engineering

• Engineering is a 4-year degree course.
• Investing 4 years in a particular domain is a commitment. And so is sticking with it.
• Pursuing another thing after engineering doesn't make any sense, then it would be a waste of 4 years.
• So, first, decide whether engineering is the right choice for you or not.

2. Jobs

• If the job is the future, opt for any one of them.
• These colleges have a good name and placements. They also welcome many reputed companies for their on-campus placement.
• Oriental is better in terms of placement and infrastructure. It is one of the oldest colleges and has been completed for 21 years.
• They also conduct many cultural and technical events. So opt for oriental.

3. Higher Studies

• If higher studies are your goal, then you should not go to any of these colleges as they need 75% attendance.
• To pursue higher studies after engineering from a prominent college you need to study hard and cannot entertain the attendance criteria.

So, you need to have clarity in the field you wish to pursue. Along with the future terms. After that according to certain parameters, you can opt for the college you wish is best for you.
