Journey to success with MITS Gwalior

Likes

Facilities and their support and coordination with students
Infrastructure and Medical facilities (Dispensary)
Placement is good. Companies like Hashedin, Infosys, NewGen, LTI Mindtree etc come for placements.

Dislikes

Heavy fee load. There are many small charges excluding tution fee makes it little costlier as per tier 3 college.
Less placement ratio as less number of companies visit.

Admission:

I give JEE Mains exam. After than I sat for MP DTE councilling where I filled choices for SGSTIS Indore ,DAVV Indore ,MITS Gwalior, JEC jabalpur. In SGSTIS and DAVV I can only go with lowest branch so I op MITS Gwalior where I get seat in Information technology specialization in Internet of Things IoT. Yes I prefer students to come this college, as its core branches are very good in studies as well as placement wise. For specialized branches I don't recommend specially for Internet of Things branch.

According to the level of college things are going good
I liked the modern designed academic curriculam

Dislikes

Attendance criteria criteria quite high according to me
Fee anyone will not get schorlarship then it is quite expensive then other college of this level
Old building classes are not well maintained according to their charged fees

Admission:

According to my rank there was only few option to consider in which my priorities includes IT or CSE related branch and have decent placements which locality in city to reach easily , hence MITS fits perfect for me

LIFE IN MITS-DU

First thing I liked about this college is that it has well maintained practical labs which makes things easy to understand by doing practicals
The faculties are very supportive and highly trained and talented and literally they help in every step where we need help
It provides placement in various companies across India and also outside India.And infrastructure of campus is very good and it has ground for various games.

Dislikes

The only thing that I disliked that from last 1 year less number of companies are coming for placement

I have applied for many government colleges via MPDTE counselling after giving JEE MAINS EXAM and from counselling I got this college and taken admission in this college.I have also applied in some private colleges of MP but when I got government college so I preferred to study in government college over private college. Eligibility to take admission in this college is JEE MAINS qualified and he need to participate in MPDTE counselling and get this college.Admission process is very easy.You just need to report to college after getting allotment from counselling with all your documents and fees.And they will verify all documents and submit photocopy of those documents and you need to pay fees and get admission.

Likes

The college has a supportive learning environment with knowledgeable faculty members who guide student well in both academics and career planning.
Placement opportunities are strong and training programs help students improve technical skills and communication
campus life is active with clubs, events and helpful senior, provide good exposure, teamwork and social interaction

Dislikes

Some labs and equipment require modernization because outdated machine limit practical hands on learning for technical subjects
Hostel facilities are limited and often overcrowded leading to inconvenience for first year
The girls to boys ratio is quite low and this imbalance effects participation in culture and technical activities especially for girls

Admission:

I choose this college because it has strong reputation since 1947 and good placement with affordable fee compared to other option I applied for. I also considered a few private colleges but preferred this one as the admission is true J based counseling with clear eligibility and cut off rank. As I love cars and machine That's why I chose the mechanical engineering and I was from the background of the business which was auto parts business which lead me to go with the mechanical branch and in this college mechanical branch faculty is fabulous they have extremely good knowledge which with the help of hands on experience also.

Life at MITS by the People of MITS

Likes

The Professors are good and Supportive. Majority of them help students and helps in all ways with doubts and many more. Apart they are qualified and have great knowledge in their domains, few professors are actually gems of the department .
The curriculum is slightly outdated for RGPV however they are trying to make effective curriculum for DU students
The college life is good and nice, Library has great collection of books apart professors also provide content by themselves

Dislikes

The Exam season is the worst time, they pile up everything within a month which makes it hectic and stress full apart taking signatures from HODs and other heads is like climbing the mountain, its really hard to find them and get the work done
The crowd is also not so good, you have find a wide varity of people quite abusive, The canteen food is least advisable to eat, better to go out as often seen few videos of canteen which make it unhygienic to consume
The placement season of last year was very good however this year it's not going well, still its just the beginning so lets wait for future

In terms of Freedom and Research its the best as it gives great priority to research, but we have IITM Gwalior, which is way to better in labs and other facilities, our labs equipment are outdated; however they have purchased a few new lab equipments for other branches, in terms of placment its not doing well this year still I feel LNCT is going way too better, Infra of college is good, but the crowd of college does not seems impressive Initially, I chose LNCT main campus, but since it was a private college, and MITS was a government college so I opted for MITS over LNCT main campus. Apart from having some financial problems and in government-funded colleges, there are lower fees and have a great scope to opt for a scholarship, so I preferred MITS. Fees was the major reason for me to not go to private colleges, apart back then MITS had a very great placements as well. For admission you can take admission my MP-DTE counselling or by 12th marks as well, generally the prefer students by JEE so advisable to give JEE as remaining seats as filled by CLC round(12th marks based), since I have observed the cutoff is reduced drastically, it can be due to increase in college seats and introducing new branches, also can be because people think now it's private as it's now DU and also due to high fees hike as well

MITS: "An Unforgettable Journey"

The campus infrastructure is impressive, with well maintained grounds, good classrooms with AC and Projector in each new classrooms, Variety of labs are there like High Performance Computing(HPC) lab, Robotics lab and much more.
Faculty members are generally good and helpful; many have advanced degrees from reputed institutes and offer supprt and mentorship when needed though a small number of faculties need to work on improving clarity.
There are plenty of opportunities to join clubs and societies. You can learn new things in each club and also the campus is totally ragging free.

Dislikes

Hostel accommodation is available only for first year students, which means you have to move out to rented rooms after your first year for rest of the years.

Admission:

I choose MITS because of its strong academic reputation, a nice infrastructure, and affordable to me if compared to fee structure to private colleges. I has also applied to other institutes but can make it to the entrace exam or felt they were too expensive. MITS offered admissions through JEE Mains and state level counselling with transparent eligibility criteria and clear cutoffs, making the process straightforward, The admission experince was smooth and well organized. While some freinds made it to NITs and provate universities, I preferred MITS for its balanced campus life and I would say, I am satisfied with my choice.

This college having good basic facilities like library, canteen, photocopies store etc
There is so experienced professors who helped us to got good placements
This is so many birds in this campus. There is peacock are present in this Institute

Dislikes

This not fully government college, this is government adided college means it is semi government not fully government.
They are becoming new cricket ground but till now the campus and not so big .
There is clubs for so many sports but there is lack of e games clubs

for me, i really loved the infrastructure and the first-year girls' hostel and the food quality is pretty decent too also the first- and second-year hostel are inside the college so it is really secure too.
it is an autonomy, so the curriculum is really flexible, and you do not have to worry much about attendance the criteria changes based on the average attendance of students
due to this being an autonomy the syllabus is different and tailor made for each branch even in first year for computer science students there is no physics and chemistry.

Dislikes

even though the first-year hostel is really nice, but I can't say the same about second year hostel the food quality is a wreck and they don't even have their own utensils
the infrastructure is old and shaggy, a few days ago the ceiling of a class room electrical engineering fell down on students, thank god no one was hurt,
there is too much politics and ragging and they also hide the real issue to protect the college's name. for some of the students even teachers don't say anything to them and reprimand the ones that does not have political power

the main reason for choosing this college was it became an autonomy and it is literally one of the most thriving colleges currently due to being semi government, and partially belonging to scindia lineage. i also applied for RJIT and i got a confirmed admission in cse but the college was in outskirts which brought doen the safety factor of the college and miits is like in the middle of city so i can go by my own conveyance, i did not recieve any rejection from any college as this was my first choice, the admission process included the counselling by mpdte, you bring two copies of all the listed documents fill the online and offline forms, get both signed and sealed and submit the fee os first semester right there and you are done, i know it does not sound much time consuming here but trust me it takes a whole day to do it.

I like the music club of this collage else I like the seniors who encourage us
I also like the yearly fest aarunya held every year in the collage
I like the facultys of this collage according to their teaching skills

Dislikes

I don't like the behaviour of guards in this collage
I don't like the fees structure or this collage which is very high
They do not provide us any scholarship on behalf of the collage premices

Admission:

I didn't choses this college I got this college on my own through mpdt counselling because I am not getting any other college of this good branch I got a electronic branch in this college and I'll like that
