IEM Kolkata Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Placement are good and best in West Bengal among private Most people get placed although the average package lies between 5.5-6 lacs Oracle and Adobe and PWC hires Candidates at a really good package Above 7.5-18 lpa

Before 2023 the placement is upto 90 percent but in 2024 due to ressesion, the placement is reduce to 65-70 percent that is good with respect to other colleges. There are 30-40 company visited every year in our college. Most of the student would preferr placement (on campus) some are opted for gov. Jobs or some are for higher studies. highest package is around 13-14LPA and average package is 5lpa . My plan is to take a job in IT sector.

IEM provides a wide range of curriculum options to it's students. It has different periodic workshops held in order to make the students ready for real life engineering tasks and well as other challenges. IEM has integrated different ways of teaching like smart board, interactive sessions off campus, etc. IEM hosts total of 3 theory exams per semester and 1 entire practical exam session. The 3 theory exams include 2 mid semester or internal exams and one main end semester exam. All these exams have quite good standard questions, and they take place within about 1.5 to 2 months time apart from each other.

From 3rd year onwards the placement is starting and many reputed companies come to our college for placement. IEM is the no 1 private engineering college which provides best placement in West Bengal in every year.

Campus placement is more or less good in the college with the students placed is almost close to 100% many students apply for higher studies and the college will help financially if any student qualifies GATE exam. ORACLE provides the highest package at IEM every year close to 20LPA.

From 3rd year i.e 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements. All the service base companies visits like TCS, Cognizant, Accenture and even companies like Adobe also visits sometimes. Avg package is 6.5lpa 100% placements. After Btech my plan is for Mtech

We have a very good campus placement opportunity offerd by our vollege .There is a record of 100% pla ement in our college for the CSE dept.Several companies like cognizant accenture tcs kpmg pwc hire from our college .

The course curriculum is too much informative in here and also faculty are so much friendly and helpful. They will guide you as much as they could but you have to be enthusiastic about the curriculum.

facaulty members are good and they teaches us very well they do more hardworks for the students to do all work on the righst time . they took our problem as their resposibility to solve that which i find quite good and very helpfull.
