Likes
- The discipline is of top notch and students must come on time and go on time , have proper uniform throughout the collection period.
- No ragging in the campus or out side of campus
- Placement is good , in this time of reccesion most of students have been placed.
Dislikes
- Campus is too small , there is one basketball ball court and there is a small cafeteria.
- Not have enough practical skills, anyone cannot get a job by only depending on college
- The uniforms are too annoying and the 80 percentage attendance criteria is not good for the students.
Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to be a an software engineer that's why i opt for cse and that also has ha huge market and more job opportunities for the students and that make me to opt for the cse branch. In our college most of cse students placed Every year . The curriculum is not that practical, there is a lack in the coding environment. The Teaching method is good but they have to teach the most relevant topics and skills that students need to stand in this IT world. Exams are not that hard but there too many exams. But i think this is not bad that help the students to make their mind strong as they will face the same thing in their job . So that good
Placement Experience
Before 2023 the placement is upto 90 percent but in 2024 due to ressesion, the placement is reduce to 65-70 percent that is good with respect to other colleges. There are 30-40 company visited every year in our college. Most of the student would preferr placement (on campus) some are opted for gov. Jobs or some are for higher studies. highest package is around 13-14LPA and average package is 5lpa . My plan is to take a job in IT sector.
Fees and Financial Aid
The semester fee is 70000 and additional fees like game , library, exam fees etc . The fees are not too high like most of the btech colleges. They also provide scholarship for the needy students. Amount would be upto 100 percent wave on the fees just you have to pay the Exam fee . There is not stipend for any responsibility inside the collection but you will get awards for almost every domain like contribution, acadmic excellence etc .
Campus Life
The college life is more towards discipline and study . There are fests but not too many . There are clubs and a department like gymkhana that organises fest and sports tournaments . students also run clubs like sports , photography, coding etc . Campus is not too big and have small playground.
Admission
There are 2-3 ways like through wbjee and jee you can take admission. There is counseling and you have to opt for the counselling to get admission in the college , your rank should me under 3000-4000 you will get admission. The admission process is not too easy or different it good. There is only reservation for the domiciles of Bengal. Not for other students that are not from west bengal. The admission process is good.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is preety good , we have mentor for 10 students and they listen and solve the problem of students from the first year itself. The proffs are best but they have to teach the students that doesn't help them to crack the interview, less emphasis on DSA and development for computer science students. They interact well , clear the doubts and also they suggest materials and courses for the self study purpose.
