Ans. Both programmes are 3-year lateral entry programmes. Both have similar fee structures and admission processes through GGSIPU.

Q2. Can a diploma holder in Electronics apply for B.Tech IT Lateral Entry at GTBIT?

Ans. Yes, diploma holders from related engineering branches (including Electronics, ECE, and Computer Science) can apply for B.Tech IT lateral entry through GGSIPU CET Code 128. However, branch-specific eligibility may apply, and it is advisable to check the GGSIPU admission brochure for the exact list of eligible diploma branches.

Ans. Yes, GTBIT is AICTE-approved and affiliated to GGSIPU, a recognized state university. The B.Tech IT degree is valid for government jobs, GATE examination, and higher studies (M.Tech/MBA) at any recognized institution in India.

Q5. What documents are required at the time of reporting to GTBIT after GGSIPU allotment?

Ans. Students need to carry original documents including 10th and 12th marksheets, diploma marksheets and certificate, category certificate (if applicable), Sikh minority certificate (if applicable), GGSIPU allotment letter, fee payment receipt, passport-size photographs, and Aadhaar card. A detailed checklist is published by GTBIT on its official website before each admission cycle.

Q6. Does GTBIT offer any bridge courses or extra support for lateral entry students joining in 2nd year?

Ans. GTBIT conducts orientation programmes for newly admitted students including lateral entry students. The IT department also provides academic support to help lateral entry students bridge any gaps in their foundational knowledge before the regular semester begins.

Fees and Financial Aid:

I must say that the fee structure in IPU colleges is high. they must do something about it because some students need time to collect that many fees, I myself belong to a medium-class family and my parents have to do so much to collect fees for my college and a scholarship doesn't help me that much because my family doesn't have those documents that are required for availing scholarship, making those documents takes time and is a bit difficult to avail the scholarship even after submitting all the documents. currently, I'm in 3rd year so I didn't get a chance for applying for a job now so I cannot say anything about job opportunities on campus with a stipend.
