ABOUT MY COLLEGE

I have done my diploma in IT in Delhi and after doing diploma you have an option to take an exam to get admission in the 2nd year (Leet) in IPU colleges, so I applied for this exam and I got my admission through this process, the admission process was not that difficult so I don't think there's need of much improvement. Reserved categories as always get seats before unreserved category students like me so that is something I'm against because many students who really need admission in some college and because of their unreserved category they don't get the college of their choice so that makes us a little sad but it's okay after all we must study in any college we got admission. you can find every detail you need about exams and the admission process on IPU's official website.

I'm currently doing BTech in IT from Guru Tegh bahadur institute of technology and the course curriculum is relatable very much, I get to learn very much about technology and programming in this course and many more things that we will need in future, I choose IT because I have interest in modern technology and what is about to come in future in the technology area. teachers here are qualified and teach us very carefully and we get to learn so many things daily from them. Exams here are conducted frequently, there are 2 internal exams and 1 external exam including practicals .exams are a bit difficult especially external exams but you don't need to worry if you have studied well.

Tech companies like Infosys, Amazon, and Google visit our college for in-campus placements, we must have internships before applying for placements so that we can have experience and knowledge about work. various companies come here looking for programmers, web developers, software engineers and full stack developers and many more roles they search for so those students who have the knowledge and pass their interviews get jobs directly from these placements. my college starts preparing students for placements from the 4th semester, we get to work and need to get training in programming and other things that we will need in future for jobs. we have to make projects from the 4th semester so we can have the experience to do any tasks in future related to our jobs. I haven't done any internships till now but will do them in the 5th semester to gain knowledge and experience.

I guess from the 7tu semester students get eligible for applying for campus placements. various companies visit our college like Infosys, amazon and other tech companies. The highest placement offer in my college is got by a student around 44lakh per annum and average I can say is 5 or 6 lakh per annum in my college. around 30 to 40 per cent of students get placed per year in my college. my plans after getting my degree are to do higher studies in India and gain knowledge. if I get a job after getting my degree then I will do my job and jo studies inside too.

I must say that the fee structure in IPU colleges is high. they must do something about it because some students need time to collect that many fees, I myself belong to a medium-class family and my parents have to do so much to collect fees for my college and a scholarship doesn't help me that much because my family doesn't have those documents that are required for availing scholarship, making those documents takes time and is a bit difficult to avail the scholarship even after submitting all the documents. currently, I'm in 3rd year so I didn't get a chance for applying for a job now so I cannot say anything about job opportunities on campus with a stipend.

Life on campus is very friendly, there are too many clubs and societies in my college to take part in. students can join the societies that they have an interest in. I cannot say anything about the annual fest held here because it didn't happen in my time till now because of coronavirus situation so I don't know anything about that maybe in future it will happen but can't say now anything about that. various sports activities are held here and many students take part in it like tug of war, volleyball, football and etc. The library in my college is good, they have so many books related to courses and many books related to the outside world are here too. there are many clubs and societies run by students in my college like DLC society, technical society and more.
