Course Curriculum Overview

2

The curriculum is not preparing me to learn the tech skills, important tech stacks which is necessary in currents world, and thus not help me in getting job! So a CSE student should learn coding and about the AI agents in my opinion rather than these academic stuffs! Coding will help you get a job! Physics, chemistry, electrical things wont! So frequency of exam as I have told you that there are two Mid-Sems each of 30 marks and for 1.5 hoyrs and then there is one End-Sem exam of 60 marks of 3 hours

Fees and Financial Aid

During the admission process the seat allotment fee was 60000 INR then during the admission process: Tution Fees : 71000 Student Activity Fees : 1000 Book Bank : 6000 Caution Money : 10000 Alumni Contribution fund : 2000 Other charges : 500 Total : 150500 for the first year Then in 2nd year : Tution fees : 111000 Univ Other dues : 20000 Student activity fees : 1000 Other charges : 500 Total : 132500

Campus Life

The annual event at this college is called RUBARU. It happens in the month of March every year! The technical event is "Avinya" that happens in August month evry year! Students from every year participates in these events! Student can get accessed to the books and journals once they have applied for the library card then after they get their cards they can go to Library section and can get their books issued! Sports and extracurricular activities are there

Admission

I applied to all the colleges that come under GGSIPU and in the 1st round I got HMR and in the 2nd round of IPU counselling I got this college and then I booked this seat and got my seat allotment letter after paying 60000 for the required seat allotment fees! I chose this college over HMR because HMR is very far away from my home and this college is still nearer as compared to HMR As I said I applied to all the GGSIPU colleges but I got HMR is first round which is very far away from my college so I didnt chose it. So i didnt get rejection from any other college! The admisision process is very simple. You get the college on the basis of your JEE MAINS rank. The cutoff for this college is you'll get CSE branch if your rank is below 3L and CSE specialised branch if rank is below 5L for IT below 6-7L.

Faculty

So the faculty-to-student ratio is 1-30 One of the best thing about this college is the Faculty. They are very supportive and have genuine knowledge in their respective fields. My all time fav faculty is Mrs. Vibha Jain Mam, she taught us physics in 1st sem and was always there to solve abd explain our doubts specially in exam time One faculty I didnt like and I still dont like is Mr. Hitesh Ahelawat Sir, Despite of scoring above 20 marks in mid sems which are of 30 marks and giving all the assignments time to time, he didnt gave me internal marks! Course structure : So as its an Engineering college it provides Btech in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and communication Engineering, Information and Technology, CS- Data Science, CS- AIML Exam system : So there are two Mid Sems exam students have to give if they miss one then they have to give supplementry mid sem and then after 4 months of a particular semester there is one END sem exam (just like any other typical engineering college) Almost all students are able to clear the exam but still there are 2-3 students who dont able to! Marking Schemes: 40 marks are from internals(attendance, assignments, behaviour, etc) 60 marks are from the end sem exams youllbe giving

Night Life

3

The only famous hangout place which is near to the college is Bindra Pakode wala and DCC these are two small cafes which students oftenly visits to! The locality is also very safe for the students and specially for the girls if they live in PGs here.

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant and comprehensive, with practical modules and industry-focused content that influenced my choice. It effectively bridges academic knowledge with real-world applications. However, adding more case studies and interdisciplinary approaches could enhance learning. Exams are well-timed but could better assess critical thinking. Teaching methods would benefit from integrating more interactive and hands-on sessions.
