i liked the seniors they are very inclusive and encourage us to participate in various vc activities
i liked the area in which the college is located in there are a lot of restaurants and convenience stores
the faculty there is helpful and motivating, they encourage you for activities and tell how to study

Dislikes

the faculty does not teach properly and we have to study and revise most of the major concepts
the campus of the college is subpar and maintained below average
the management is not good as they postponed the semester 1 finals examination by 2 months giving us less time to prepare for semester 2

Placement Experience:

students become eligible from semester 7 to take part in campus placements and interships in other companies or institutions. Highest package is 40L per annum. The rest of the details are unknown to me as I am still in semester 2.

Likes

The crowd is good, everyone is nice to each other especially the seniors are pretty good
The club activities are pretty good and encouraging
Good for travelling as well since it's not too far from belapur station

Dislikes

There's a lot of mismanagement in lectures, like it never goes according to the timetable provided.
The campus is pretty small since it's just one building
It isn't that systematic. Sudden emails of timetables and exam timings changing etc...

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement from 7th sem but the training and stuff starts from 5th sem onwards. I don't really know much about the placements since I'm not planning on doing job after graduation and probably gonna do masters in the future.

Most of the faculties except few are very helpful
There is no ragging at all in the campus. All the juniors and seniors are very friendly withone another
The course outline and way pf teaching and the subjects covered are good

Dislikes

College campus. Ut is just a building. Sometimes classrooms are also not available
No fan in the corridor and only 2 lifts so very prblematic during lecture timings
Canteen service is the worst. Sometimes vada pav is also not available which is the basic. Only chinese item was available

Course Curriculum Overview:

Everything is Good curriculum is also very nice Teaching metvods are veey worse of some teachers. Some of them did not know the concept they are teaching to us. For example genomics and proteomics teacher.

Biotechnology Summed up at DY Patil Navi Mumbai.

Likes

I liked a lot of things especially the faculty.
The support staff are quite helpful in the laboratories.
The syllabus of the course work is up-to-date.

Dislikes

The instruments present are very old and not well maintained.
The communication of different events and activities are not upto the mark.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is constantly getting updated. From the year I started, We have learnt alot of new techniques that were recently discovered. The faculties try to involve alot of AI as well. They help us with understanding of AI in our field. The total working days of the college for a semester are 90. During that period 2 internals and 1 end semester exams are conducted. 1-2 assignments or projects are given for each subject too.

Btech Biotechnology for PCB students

i liked the cleanliness maintained by the working staff
the syllabus is very diverse and knowledgable
the teaching staff is serious about their work and very disciplined

Dislikes

they do not have a proper campus, its a singular 12 storeys building
the classrooms and labs do not have air conditioner
the college timing is a bit off for the people who travel everyday for long hours

Placement Experience:

After 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placements depending upon their capabilities, staff recomendation, CGPA, and various other factors. Not everyone is provided with placements because 80% of the students prefer studying for masters. Companies like TCS, cipla, abott, and many more pharma companies visit here with average package of 4 lakh per annnum.

Biotechnology from DY patil university

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement after graduation. Students get to go on industry visits in 3rd year. Batchelor of biotechnology makes around 2-3 lakhs pa. The highest ever is 6lakhs pa. Around 30-40% of students get college placements. I will be studying master's degree after this degree.

Remarks:

Factors that made me choose this college were great faculty, curriculum, lab facilities, brand name, director sir reputation along with that research paper published by the students and faculty. Placement opportunities. College provides all the mainstream subjects in depth which are also applicable in exams such as Gate, csir, bcil bitp. This, no additional courses or coaching is required.

Remarks:

There's slight discrimination between marathi and non marathi students. Otherwise the college is a nice place to be with a very rich culture and there is a lot of chance for cross culture exchange programes.

DY PATIL Review

Remarks:

It’s a good college with really good staff and infrastructure and a really good cafeteria. The overall education criterias are all fulfilled. A lot of extra curricular stuff too was right on point. I had a very good time during my studies. Only stark problem is a lack of any mental health expert on campus. It’s very relevant and important in current times.
