What Students Say
Likes
- The crowd is good, everyone is nice to each other especially the seniors are pretty good
- The club activities are pretty good and encouraging
- Good for travelling as well since it's not too far from belapur station
Dislikes
- There's a lot of mismanagement in lectures, like it never goes according to the timetable provided.
- The campus is pretty small since it's just one building
- It isn't that systematic. Sudden emails of timetables and exam timings changing etc...
Course Curriculum Overview
I liked the course curriculum since it's variety of subjects that I wanted to study and I can opt for more through elected courses later on from 2nd year. 1st year is a lil bit annoying since I have the subjects that I don't like but it's also necessary since it's an engineering degree. The curriculum which is for 2024 batch is pretty good
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placement from 7th sem but the training and stuff starts from 5th sem onwards. I don't really know much about the placements since I'm not planning on doing job after graduation and probably gonna do masters in the future.
Fees and Financial Aid
The annual fees is 2.4 lakh for first year and 2.2 lakh from second year. The fees will most likely increase in the next year for next batch by 10% There's no reservations benefits or financial aid available so everyone pays the same amount.
Campus Life
The annual fests like species, technozar, biozest, etc are there and they're usually pretty good as I've seen previous year fests. There are other clubs as well which is helpful for me to interact with more people since I was an introvert before.
Admission
I chose this since it was the best in terms of travelling and distance. One of my cousins studied from this college and she's doing pretty amazing now There aren't much colleges for btech biotechnology so this seemed like the best option. I didn't go for them for one main reason And that was travelling since I will be commuting from home.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 50:1 which is pretty decent. I don't like some of the faculty but ig that's life in every college Exam difficulty is medium and it's not hard to pass them, you just need to pay attention and study before exam that's it
Night Life
There's no nightlife or anything in this campus cause only one building is there and most people live in pgs since there's no hostels too. The library and canteen also closes at 6 everyday Basically everything is there till like 6pm max.
Other Applied Colleges
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University - [CSMU] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Biotechnology)
It is very away from the main city area and not many travelling options, only 1 bus is there that too takes so long to get to panvel station.
