MGM Institute of Biosciences and Technology, Aurangabad (MS) was established In the year 2001-2002 with the vision to provide knowledge-based technological services to satisfy the needs of society and the industry. The college has highly qualified faculties of over 20 members having Ph.D. degree. Currently, the college has a strength of 600 students as of 2020. MGM’s IBT offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programs. Now MGM’s IBT is well established in the field of research focusing on the areas of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics with a well-equipped R&D laboratory to encourage extensive research.
The MGM’s Institute of Biosciences and Technology offers B.Sc. (Hons.) in Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Microbiology, and Food technology and processing, and M.Sc. in Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Plant Biotechnology, Plant Breeding and Genetics, Industrial Microbiology and Food Science and Technology and diploma program in Chemo-informatics. Admissions for the undergraduate programs are based on marks secured by the students in the 12th science and admissions for postgraduate programs are based on entrance examinations. The college offers several facilities including sports, accommodations in hostels, quipped laboratories, central library, etc. MGM’s IBT also had a great placement record in 2020 bringing over 50 offers from about 20 companies.
