What students say about Georgia Institute of Technology

- It is very relevant. They are research-based courses, and we are allowed to pick any course we want.
- All I can say is that top companies from the fields of IT, Electronics, and Computers visit (for my course), including Google, Amazon, GE, Apple, CISCO, etc.
- The campus is very modern with all the expected facilities, including good bus transport, Wi-Fi, and fast food restaurants on campus.
- The dorms arent too new, and most dorms involve sharing a room with one other person. However, there is a specific apartment for graduate students and apartments for upperclassmen where you get your own room.
- $15,000 per semester, and usually it takes 3-4 semesters in the MS program and 10 semesters in the PhD program (although you are most likely to receive funding during your PhD).
- The faculty is really smart, friendly, and approachable at Gatech, especially in terms of research.
- There are so many clubs to make friends, and the campus is so beautiful to relax in nature while also having modern and high-tech features in the library.
Dislike
- Unfortunately, like all US colleges, its up to the student to seek jobs. Even though companies come for fairs, its just to get a feel for them, and they dont offer a job

- Faculty and mostly the students (they are super intelligent, and I enjoy sharing ideas and talking with them which motivates me to grow more) Campus life is also good. null
Dislikes:
- As of now, there's none. But I wanted to mention about the accommodation. It's pretty expensive over here as it's located in the midtown so your living costs are high. null
Georgia Tech is the 2nd best public school in the US for Chemical Engineering. But this is not the only reason to choose Gatech, there were several factors and a lot of research behind it. I also got admitted to some of the best universities. I created a preference matrix that helped me to choose the best one and Gatech stood out as the the best out of that. My initial experience was tough because the course was rigorous and it was not easy to cop up with all the stuff at once after landing in this company. But now it's pretty good as I am used to and have a lot to learn.

- Research facilities and infrastructure, collaboration between different research groups. There are some good courses offered. The campus infrastructure is good. null
Dislikes:
- Sometimes the courses can be very specific to the research area of the faculty amd moght not always meet the general job market requirements. In that case, one need to navigate throught the perfect course combinations. null
"I had to submit 3 LoRs, SoP and CV. Key points for SoP: 1. Should be a coherent story with the following points. 2. Why I chose ECE? 3. Why you chose this area? 4. Choice of advisors with reasons 5. Why I chose this university? CV: Mentioned research project/publications in detail. Mentioned other important projects." Based on my advisor's research. Also, ECE program at Georgia Tech is one of the best programs in US for research. The overall experience is excellent.

- TA ship which offers scholarship and stipend, there are lot of TA and RA opportunities with tuition wavier which are easy to score. The college's carrer fair is also a good part where many top tier companies visit. null
Dislikes:
- It's very strict and tough, sometimes puts you through times where the only solution is hard work, no matter how intelligent you are. The professors are high profiles so you really need to be genius to catch their attention. null
Yes, CV, SOP, LOR. I had an Australian patent on my name with heavy bug bounty rewards in 4 figures. Public university with heavy funding and 2nd ranked for the course of Cybersecurity makes it the best school to study without incubating heavy loans The experience was the best uplift my life could ever get at this young age, I have graduated with high paying job, abundance of knowledge and experience with a very low tuition loans. What else do you need?

- I chose this university because I loved the research options they had and the campus was really beautiful. It’s in the city but has a lot of greenery too. It has one of the top CS programs in the Nation and engineering too. I was a science major and it has a medium sized class so not too big. Very diverse group of students too. null
My overall experience at Georgia Tech is academically challenging but educating. There’s so many clubs to make friends and the campus is so beautiful to relax in the nature while also having modern and high tech features in the library. Georgia Tech is an amazing school and would highly recommend for people who are academically gifted and want great job placements too.
It's the best program in the country. They have a good research culture and are located in a prime location.
Good teachers and professors, a respected university, great recruiting history, a good place to learn, not too bad weather conditions, interesting research, public university - so moderate tuition fees.
GT is a big name, especially in the south. The department is relatively new, extremely knowledgeable, really cohesive and extremely supportive. They gave me the best funding.
The key governing factor for my selection of Gatech was the research work pursued by my advisor and the overall research culture in the college. Other secondary reasons were overall university ranking, ranking in the particular department/area I plan to study, location in terms of city vs university town etc.
Industrial Design is ranked number 1 at Georgia Tech. They have an amazing invention studio and faculty.
