- Research facilities and infrastructure, collaboration between different research groups. There are some good courses offered. The campus infrastructure is good.
Dislikes
- Sometimes the courses can be very specific to the research area of the faculty amd moght not always meet the general job market requirements. In that case, one need to navigate throught the perfect course combinations.
"I had to submit 3 LoRs, SoP and CV. Key points for SoP: 1. Should be a coherent story with the following points. 2. Why I chose ECE? 3. Why you chose this area? 4. Choice of advisors with reasons 5. Why I chose this university? CV: Mentioned research project/publications in detail. Mentioned other important projects." Based on my advisor's research. Also, ECE program at Georgia Tech is one of the best programs in US for research. The overall experience is excellent.
Course Curriculum
Research is excellent. The courses are not that great, mostly research oriented. Need to check the courses whih are actually floated.
Faculty
There are a lot of excellent faculties with great research areas. The collaboration within different groups is very good.
Campus Life
Campus facilities and infrastructure is good. There ate plenty ot student events round the year.
Placement
Companies like Intel, Apple NVIDIA, Samsung etc. have visited. The salary is nearly $150k/annum. There is a career fair where we connect with the companies for possible opportunities.
Accommodation
There are on campus and off campus options. On-campus has limited seats. Off-campus is available in case one wants to share rooms to save rent.
Exams
"No requirements by ECE department at Georgia Tech in 2021. My scores: GRE No, I didn't have any interview rounds with my current advisor. 2021 150 verbal 169 Quant 4.5 Writing; TOEFL 2021 89/120"
Fees
The tution is nearly $40k for the programs.
Scholarship
I received ON semiconductor fellowship from Department of $1500/semester for first two semesters.
