My review about GT

I applied for the following universities: Georgia Institute of Technology - accepted University of Central Florida – accepted University of Florida – accepted University of North Carolina - accepted Purdue University – rejected University of Maryland - rejected University of Wisconsin–Madison – rejected Got rejected to these because they were more research oriented schools and I did not have much research experience Great ranking for CS. Application included GRE, Transcript, 3 LORs, and an SOP. The GRE average was around 317. At least 3 Letters of Recommendation required. The minimum GPA was 3.0 in undergraduate. Resume was also required. Great experience in general but a little difficult to get in and has some strict requirements for scores in exams because of the ranking I applied to the Fall 2024 intake around mid-November, and the deadline is mid-December. Decision day is in the first week of April. You have to provide all the scores, LORs, SOP, and resume in the application and once you get accepted, you have until 1 month after school starts for the transcripts to be submitted via parchment or other official medium; this can also vary....Read More

Purdue University, West Lafayette 5. University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign I chose Georgia Tech because not only did it have a great academic record and focus on academic excellence, but it also offered funding opportunities to students through GTA/GRA, and I was particularly interested in conducting research. The flexibility to change specialisations and choose courses accordingly is also a bug plus. Lastly, the cost of living in Atlanta, Georgia, is also more affordable than states like California and NY The admission process was pretty straightforward: filling the online application, submitting scores and LORs, and once admission is offered, we were required to physically send our college transcripts and get them verified, after which we received the i20 GRE scores are required for the application; I believe a minimum of 165 in quant is required to qualify for the same In the admission process, the education document verification part was particularly cumbersome and stressful, as the i20 is dependent on that process being completed. Applied to: National College of Ireland (Dublin) : Accepted University of Adelaide (Australia): Accepted Rejected in: Dublin College (Ireland): Rejected University of Toronto (Canada): Rejected I was accepted in the college where I applied for the computer Science field, but wherever I applied for the specific data analysis or scientist I was rejected. May be they wanted more of a research in the specific field. This is one of the most renowned college, college success is defined by its alumni. The alumni network is so strong that forbes 30 under 30 had 8 of them from Gatech. Fill up the form, give the questionnaire as in SOP, IELTS score of 7 and above required. IF having a work experience is a good point. Admission process is hassle free, admission dept is reachable at any point of time to answer any confusion. So,For taking Admission it’s an online process forms open up atleast 6 months in advance for the session you are planning to join i.e. For the August intake forms will be available by mid february similarly for the spring semester. I applied in february the results for my application came in within a week or so. Then from there the instructions were provided in the mail on how to proceed. The most tricky part for this process is timeline you would have 6 months for preparation to move but getting a visa slot is complicated so my suggestion as soon as you get your I 20 start looking out for visa slots so in that case and have enough time for applying again if the visa gets rejected in the first place.  ...Read More

Georgia Tech is the 2nd best public school in the US for Chemical Engineering. But this is not the only reason to choose Gatech, there were several factors and a lot of research behind it. I also got admitted to some of the best universities. I created a preference matrix that helped me to choose the best one and Gatech stood out as the the best out of that. My initial experience was tough because the course was rigorous and it was not easy to cop up with all the stuff at once after landing in this company. My overall experience at Georgia Tech is academically challenging but educating. There’s so many clubs to make friends and the campus is so beautiful to relax in the nature while also having modern and high tech features in the library.
