- Experience is gained through learning ! The course works are designed such a way that they help in gaining hands on experience through capstone projects.
- International students receive full support from the university related to all immigration queries through University immigration services.
- The college is located in Connecticut, since neighboring states are New York and Boston it is good for networking , attend job fairs, weekend travel, access to companies for jobs and internships.
Dislikes
- Tution fees is a bit high compared to the size and recognition of the college since it is a private university.
- The campus is very small compared to other state universities due to which it is a bit less energetic.
- Although there are courses which are top rated there it is not a tier 1 college .
Campus Life
- Yes, there is an app called navigate where you can access events happening daily on campus and there are a lot of free goodies.
- There is an event called a career fair, which is of no use to international students. That can be skipped.
- Health centre
- Library
- Gym
- Sports
- The Indian student council conducts all Indian festivals. Has performances and every country has a different student council.
- Sports are mostly for local domestic students.
Fees
- The college has credit-based fees
- My tuition fees for 2 years were $32,000.
- I paid for cengage books during my coursework: $125 + $100.
- I think I paid a $325 deposit to confirm my seat after accepting my offer.
- Once you receive your I-20 then there are expenses related to visa processing.
- Accommodation depends on the place you choose.
- I lived off campus close to college
- Rent: $400-$500 per month
- Transportation: the college provides a student bus pass for $40 per semester (occasionally free) for public transport outside campus. College shuttles are free
- Groceries would be : $150-300 depending on the what you want per month
- Total estimate would be $800-$1000 if you were to be a bit lavish!

Dislikes
- Some professors are not available and hasty for doubt clarifications
- AI was not deep dived enough
- Pre requisites are given a lot even if we show we have done them previously or even if we had experience
Campus Life
- There were many events across the semester. There was an international students committee that organized some events like Holi, Diwali, etc. There were also cricket, football, and badminton matches. There were many clubs for dance, music, football, volleyball, badminton, and soccer. Every weekend there used to be some or other event on campus where we could participate.
Fees
- Per credit hour, it is $1092. Usually, for each course, we get 3 credit hours, which is 3*1092=3276
- I stayed off campus and usually it costs around 500 usd for room and all others might be around 400 .
- We are charged per semester.
- Monthly expenses might be around 900 usd . Connecticut has good bus transportation and the university provides a per-semester bus pass, which is only 40 USD.

Likes
- I like the exposure a student obtains through the university(culture, professionalism, career building, vast communities, etc).
Dislikes
- I dislike not having a good on-campus placement opportunity for master's graduates.
Overview
I chose this university because this is one in my budget range and has a good reputation among all the admits I received. I would rate an overall of 7 for 10. The campus has good resources like labs, libraries, a career development centre, and many more to use for the sake of students. I am very passionate about data-driven decision making so I opted for Business analytics as my major.
Campus Life
This is the most interesting part we do have a lot of events going on every day on campus. We do celebrate every occasion irrespective of community caste religion etc. On-campus wifi is free and we do have a soccer stadium on campus and a few indoor games for refreshments. The gym is also there as a recreation for students.
Likes
- I like the infrastructure and the library, I also like the gym at the university.
- Its good and faculty is also good but you need to be very competitive for applying jobs.
Dislikes
- Placements are not good.
- They need to improve in placements side and offer good placements to students specially international students.

In term of curriculum it was good but in terms of placements it was not so good you need to improve your skills and job search by yourself. My main factor was scholarship and easy admission without any rejection.
Campus Life
Campus life is good, have gym and libraries with free wifi and Newyork times free subscription.
Likes
- 1. Good scholarships. 2. One of the few universities that consider MPH under STEM course. 3. Great location other than cold winters.
- The best thing about University of newhaven is its library services and workshops for improving skills, the recreation centre and gym, very easy to get around the campus.
Dislikes
- I think the curriculum could have been more challenging for MPH in particular. College improved me with new knowledge & friends! However, the workload can be intense at times.
Overview
It was a good experience. A good place is not its location but its people. I was fortunate to have met good friends and good professors which made my time in Connecticut special. I have gained immense valuable knowledge working on campus and meeting new people from different educational backgrounds.
Campus Life
Has a good library and online library to access all the peer reviewed articles. It has WiFi all around the campus, extracurricular activities happen everyday on campus by different clubs, amazingly clean Gym, indoor badminton and indoor running track which is valuable during winters.
Likes
- The faculty research meets my interest to choose this university in specific with relevant specializations which I wanted to pursue
- The faculty is very helpful and technically sound in their respective fields with in person discussions and interactive teaching. Secondly, the university has a good number of specializations to choose based on the market demand.
Dislikes
- The amenities and resources for the students to access are minimal and the graduate university lacks in diversity as most of them are from India which reduces the opportunity to interact with students from different countries.
Overview
The college is quite nice for people who can study and relax at the same time with a lot of assignments few days, overall the college is not perfectly organized in terms of infrastructure and planning but the faculty is very friendly and professional at the same time
Campus Life
The university has a couple of events, but it's not the best university I've been as there are few cons that might affect the ranking.
Overview
I chose this university because it is my program specific and provided me with funding opportunity The expetience was overall good and i learned alot about new things. For admission, I submitted a Letter of recommendation, SOP, MARKSHEEETS and RESUME ect.
Campus Life
Campus life is really. For international students like me its really diversw we get to learn about other culture differences.
Likes
- It resides between three major cities - NewYork , New Jersey and Boston.
- Has a comprehensive course study for Business Analytics
- I don’t think, I like anything other than this.
Dislikes
- First come first basis scholarships. I believe, it should be based on merit and course the student applied.
- Doesn’t have diversified culture and class size is huge.
- Enormous competition from India for on - campus and it literally feels like you are in Indian university.
Overview
Firstly, the University of New Haven is my safe option. I applied to different universities like Ucinn, SUNY Buffalo and George Mason. Although I got admitted to UCinn and RIT, considering the fee factor, I opted for UNH. But I regret coming here. It's not a happening university. High competition for On-campus and hated the scholarship process. This is the procedure for admission: Three LORs, SOP, GRE score ( not mandatory), IELTS. Apply on the college website, and usually, we get the decision in 2-4 weeks.
Campus Life
Yeah, I believe people who are involved in campus activities and student clubs can enjoy very well with the fests and all. UNH has many student clubs, including sports, science, arts and religion ( one thing to love). I hate the medical facility. ( my first experience: I fell down in college and went to ask a bandage and they asked me to book an appointment????). Infrastructure - Too small for the publicity they do and for the fee they take.
Overview
"SOP: General idea of why you’re pursuing the field, why you’re applying to this university, what makes you a perfect fit. LOR, & Resume" Scholarship, networking opportunities, location (close to newyork and boston), faculty (excellent for my course) It has been great. I love the application based nature of my program. There is a huge indian population which may make it easier for people who’re more comfortable with indians. Yale University is a 10 minute drive from the university this means we’re exposed to a lot of events, opportunities from Yale.
Campus Life
It’s great, not too good. A small private university. But hosts most indian festivals which is great.
Likes
- FACULTY IS VERY WELL EXPERIENCED AND HELPFUL
- Campus is very much happening with lots of things to do
Dislikes
- Nothing the University is amazing just fees is a little high and no scholarship at least for me
- Fees is a little high idnt give scholarship post enrollment
Overview
The Admission process was pretty much streamlined with the help of my consultant AEC Global at Hyderabad MS. Leena over here is an expert on international Admissions and guided me through the application and interview.
Campus Life
Campus Life is very happening every weekend there are multiple events happening and many Telugu people on campus all students.
