I applied to 4 colleges University of north Texas at Denton University of New Haven University of Bridgeport Sacred heart university I have received confirmed admissions from university of New Haven, sacred heart university , and university of Bridgeport! The University of north Texas rejected me. The reason is that I was not matching their minimum requirement for CGPA 7.0. Everything else was fine. I applied for fall 2022 in Feb 2022 and received my decision in 3-4 weeks; the entire process takes 3-4 weeks depending on how early you apply and seats. The detailed timeline for all the documents: Give any accepted test (1 day excluding preparation) Write a strong personal essay (2-3 days). I had applied to 4 colleges The University of Houston (waitlisted), The University of North Texas (waitlisted), Sacred Heart University (admitted), the University of New Haven (admitted) I have received confirmed admission from Sacred Heart University and the University of New Haven. I didn't receive rejection from any university that I had applied to. I was not rejected, but I was waitlisted since there was high competence, in my opinion. I chose this college mainly due to the location since it is close to main cities such as New York and Boston and another reason would be the relatively affordable fee. I had taken my GRE and Duolingo, Applied online through the university's official portal, submitted my transcripts, degree certificates, Personal essay(of around 500 words) and letter of recommendation, and received the admission mail and acceptance mail. Accepted exams and minimum required scores: IELTS – 6.0 TOEFL – 75 SAT – 450 Evidence-Based Reading and Writing Score Pearson Test of English—53 Duolingo - 100 Eligibility criteria would be decent scores from your high school and bachelor's, valid recommendation letters, good English proficiency test scores, and good GRE or GMAT scores, which would be great to secure a good percentage of scholarship. The overall admission process was smooth. I applied for Fall 2023, and I made that decision since the intake is high and, hence, it impacts the admission rate. I got admitted to the following universities: NYU -> Rejected NJYT -> Received Admission ASU -> Rejected UNH-> Admitted Cleveland university -> Received Admission I was not accepted mainly because I was shifting from B.tech Mechanical to MS in computer Science . I had 3.5 years of Software Developer experience before applying to these universities. There might be still a lot of reasons which I have no idea about. I accepted UNH over others because it's relatively lower in cost than others to which I received admission. Admission Process was -> I needed to put in an application i guess it cost me 75 usd for the application. I uploaded all my b.tech certificates and my resume too. -> I received the acceptance letter, and then I was asked to fill out a form where I need to declare my funds and how I will get them for the I-20 process, along with a savings bank statement which has the amount that would be mentioned in the I-20. Then I received the I-20. I applied for the Fall 2022 intake. Although I had started planning in 2021, I was finally able to begin my studies in 2022. I applied to universities on my own without any external help. Looking back, I feel I should have applied to more colleges and taken proper guidance. The admission process took around 3 months. I chose this university because this is one in my budget range and has a good reputation among all the admits I received. I would rate an overall of 7 for 10. The campus has good resources like labs, libraries, a career development centre, and many more to use for the sake of students. Firstly, the University of New Haven is my safe option. I applied to different universities like Ucinn, SUNY Buffalo and George Mason. Although I got admitted to UCinn and RIT, considering the fee factor, I opted for UNH. But I regret coming here. It's not a happening university. High competition for On-campus and hated the scholarship process. This is the procedure for admission: Three LORs, SOP, GRE score ( not mandatory), IELTS.
