IIT Jammu Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The IIT Jammu curriculum blends strong theoretical foundations with practical learning, offering flexibility via electives and research opportunities. It prepares students well for industry and academia. Improvements could include more industry workshops and interactive teaching. Exams are moderately challenging.

The highest package of our college till now is 52 lakhs. Students may apply for placements in 6 sem. Top recruiting companies are Byjus,HUL, Tata Motors etc. Around 70 percent students get placed through campus placements.

Curriculum is designed to cater the department perspective ,all important courses related to departments are added to degree ,teaching methods are equally good .Exams are mainly 2 class test one after and before mid-semester then end sememster at last.difficulty is moderate

The placement of the college is very good. The average package of the college is above 17 lakh. It is increasing year by year. It has many employment options. Research level is also good in college and to open self business.

The placements at college are satisfactory ie: not so good and not so bad. The students are eligible for placements from the 6th semester. Several companies visit the college for placements. One of them is Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Cognizant and many others companies. The Highest package was 40lacs the previous year. And it is going to increase in the upcoming years. Almost 85% students get placed in the college and bag a nice package.

We were among the part of the first batch of the college frankly speaking we do not know what to expect from the college placement drive as no past record was available and the placement committee was also recently formed. But the college managed to invite very good companies and very good numbers of companies were invited around 110+ companies visited the college campus during the placement drive. But still, college managed to achieve a record of 90% placement and the highest placement offer was around 40 LPA and the average salary offer was 19 LPA.
