IIT Jammu Review

The college is low on the crowd and we were part of the first batch and the location of the college attracts me a lot the college is located in a very good location and the college infrastructure is also very good and very well designed. I was given the seat during the JOSAA counselling and to be part of the college one has to clear the JEE advance and 65% in 10+2. The college does not upset us as the faculty quality of the college is very good and the college provides a very good education.

The curriculum of the college follows all the latest regulations and development of the industry. The curriculum helps us to understand each and every topic like Polymeric and Biomedical Materials, Nano-structured materials & Nanotechnology, Semiconductors, Optoelectronics & Information storage materials, etc in detail. The faculty of the college is very expert and they have completed their PhD degree from the top colleges. The faulty also have very good industry experience. The faculty is the one that helps us and guide us during the placement drive of the college.

The internship facility of the college is properly designed and well organidsed. The college was able to invite around 45 companies for the college internship program. The average stipend for the internship is 45k.

We were among the part of the first batch of the college frankly speaking we do not know what to expect from the college placement drive as no past record was available and the placement committee was also recently formed. But the college managed to invite very good companies and very good numbers of companies were invited around 110+ companies visited the college campus during the placement drive. But still, college managed to achieve a record of 90% placement and the highest placement offer was around 40 LPA and the average salary offer was 19 LPA.

The college provides scholarships as per the guideline of MHRD and the scholarship is available on a merit basis. The college also provides financial assistance to the needy. The college B.Tech program fee is around 5 lakh as the college fee is quite reasonable in comparison to many IITs and the college also provides very good placement with the average salary offer is around 19 LPA which is very good ROI.

The college campus life is very good the location of the campus is very scenic and soothing to the eyes. The college has indoor games facilities and an outdoor sports facility is also available. The college classrooms every well designed and equipped with AC and digital boards are also fitted. The college library has many books from all kinds of domains and many bestseller books are also available. The labs are very well maintained.

The hostel is very good. The hostel has all kinds of basic and modern facilities. The rooms are very well designed and fully furnished. The hostel mess food quality s very good and the menu is very vast. The hostel wardens are very professional and the staff is well trained. The hostel discipline is very well managed. The hostel security is good. The hostel has 24 hours access to water and power supply.
