Course Curriculum Overview:
Passion for understanding economic systems and their impact on society drove me to pursue a Master's in Economics.
The MA in Economics, curriculum equips me with both practical and skill for real-world application and a solid foundation for advanced academic pursuits.
Integrate real-world case studies and industry collaborations to enhance applications in MA in Economics.Update the curriculum to include emerging economic trends and digital tools for comprehensive skill development. Teaching methods should be based kn the syllabus. Teachers should use digital tools to present the ideas and make effective in teaching and learning method.
The Main Entrance called CPGEE is held in the month of July(especially last week). One who wants to crack the exam, mustccomplete the UG syllabus of Cotton University. Exam is difficult based on my experience.
The professors are very much cooperative and the infrastructure is quite good.

Course Curriculum Overview:
I chose this course because of my interest and I also did my bachelor's in economics. I mostly prefer economics in a more quantitative nature. This course taught me some of the intermediate and advanced concepts of the usual economics papers. I also had some specialization papers like Econometric Methods and Advanced Quantitative Techniques.
The faculty-Student ratio is about 10:54 or 5:27.
Manisha Sharma is our Head of the Department. Most of the professors are having Ph.D. from Gauhati University and IIT Guwahati and some are still pursuing.
I like the overall teaching method of the faculty. However, I do have to mention Dr. Gataun Mazumdar who is excellent at interacting with the students and always use to give some real-world examples whenever he used to teach us. He is specialized in Macroeconomics and has a Ph.D. degree from Amsterdam.
The exams are usually held on time but due to the covid situation, the exams were a bit late. The paper level was quite moderate.

The University provided a good campus, good location, many good courses, the faculty is brilliant. There is a good environment for academics. Also a good place to develop cultural and political intellect.
It offers students equal opportunity to think and grow their mind even professors are also good and this college offers good amount of courses to students, I opted for women's studies because as a political students I m keen to know about it more
Examination branch is not good at all. Checking of results is not good. Very bad behavior of the authority. Otherwise it's ok. Faculty are good. They are helpful. Examination controler behavior is very bad.
The Cotton University is one of the most prestigious instituiton of North East India. Every student of Assam have a dream to study in the college.I am so lucky that i got a chance to study in this college.
