Course Curriculum Overview
Passion for understanding economic systems and their impact on society drove me to pursue a Master's in Economics. The MA in Economics, curriculum equips me with both practical and skill for real-world application and a solid foundation for advanced academic pursuits. Integrate real-world case studies and industry collaborations to enhance applications in MA in Economics.Update the curriculum to include emerging economic trends and digital tools for comprehensive skill development. Teaching methods should be based kn the syllabus. Teachers should use digital tools to present the ideas and make effective in teaching and learning method. The Main Entrance called CPGEE is held in the month of July(especially last week).One who wants to crack the exam, mustccomplete the UG syllabus of Cotton University. Exam is difficult based on my experience.
Fees and Financial Aid
Admission fees: different on the basis of curriculum. Department with lab and with field work: 9150/- (Anthropology, Botany, Geography, Zoology, MBBT, EBWS, and Archeology) * additional lab fees is 7000 rupees per semester (MBBT only) Department with lab, without field work: Rs.8150/- Department without lab and with field work: 8150/- Department without lab. Without field work: 7150/-(Economics) Self financing programmes: MA in Mas Com.: 24650/- The complete cost of my study is 20000/ including examination fees. Schoolarships are: NSP Per year 20k for PG students and DHE 500 Rupees per month. Career and Counselling department provides various job opportunities to the students. They organize multiple workshops.
Campus Life
Varsity week is held every year in ther month of ajanuary -February. Abege music festival is held on the month of March. The library contains an approximately 100k books with thousand of journals. Classrooms are well equiped with digital projectors, good white or green board, with proper ventilation system. There is an auditorium where Badminton, carooms and chess one's can play. Other Outdoor Games are Football, Vallyball, Basketball, Athletics games and other minor games. There are several students-run organization in the University.
Admission
Eligibility Of The Course: You have to complete graduation jn Economics from any recognized university. Then you have to qualify in the Official Entrance Examination Of Cotton University (CPGEE) as per the merit list, you will get admission. Application fees, forms, and dates will be available on their official website www.cottonuniversity.ac.in. Reservations: (As per the Government of Assam reservation rules) 50% seats are reserved for the Cotton Graduates and 50% seats are reserved for the open category. 15% for OBC, 7% for SC, 10% for ST(Plains),5% for ST(Hills), and 10% seats are reserved for EWS category. Exam is held in the month of August (1st Week) or in the last week of July. Admission should be basis on merit rather than reservation. And all seats should be open for all the students coming across India
