Course Curriculum Overview
The course geology focuses on Earth's processes, natural resources and environmental challenges. It prepares me from real life application, field work, laboratory works and problem solving. To enhance the course more field study and hands-on experience is needed, guest lecturer from professionals in the field is required.
Fees and Financial Aid
The admission fee includes the 1st and 2nd semester fees, which amounts to 7200. For the 3rd and 4th semester, a yearly fee of 4500 is applicable, and same fee structure applies to 5th and 6th semesters. ** Fees are for the academic year 2022 and may vary slightly for recent years.** Exam fee 1450 for my course EWS students are exempt from paying yearly for the entire duration of the course.
Campus Life
Cotton university is for people who are culturally active. It is very good for people who enjoy doing dance, music, act . Here people get the exposure if they want to continue these activities in future.
Admission
I chose cotton university for its strong academic program, research opportunities and small campus located in Guwahati, Assam. The university offers diverse range of courses. Originally i wanted to do engineering, i got accepted but the course i got wasn't the course i wanted so i studied in cotton college. But after i graduation i regret my decision.
Faculty
Total 12 professor, 2 to 3 lab bearer and 100 to 120 students including ug and pg. And the number of phd scholars varies. There are typically 2-3 exams per semester 1.Mid term 2.Final examination and practicals The difficulty level can vary depending on the course, instructor and students prediction. I don't have any specific data on the students who fail to clear the exam.
Night Life
Cotton university was a college before becoming university so the campus is very small and some of the department are located at some other places. So i didn't experience a one campus life. Some famous area outside the university is nehru park, brahmaputra river etc
