NIT Mizoram Admission 2026
NIT Mizoram offers three programs such as BTech, MTech and PhD in several specialisations.
BTech is the most popular program offered at NIT Mizoram. For NIT Mizoram Admission to the BTech program students need to appear for JEE Main exam followed by JoSAA counselling, and for the MTech admission, candidates must have to appear for GATE examination followed by CCMT counselling. The total fee for the BTech program is INR 6 lakhs, and the fee for the MTech program ranged between INR 1.57 - 2.13 lakhs.

NIT Mizoram Campus
NIT Mizoram has a temporary campus located in Aizawl, and offers several facilities such as modern classrooms, laboratories, computer centers, and a library. Hostels are available for both boys and girls with basic facilities. There are also playgrounds and areas for sports and cultural activities. It is approximately 35 km from Lengpui (Aizawl) Airport and around 179 km from Silchar Railway Station.
According to student reviews on collegedunia, the campus has highly qualified and friendly teachers who help students gain more practical knowledge and clear their doubts easily. The laboratories are well equipped, and the library has a wide range of books. Students also get guidance to face real-life challenges, which helps in personal and professional growth. However, the infrastructure is not very developed as the college does not yet have a permanent campus.

The first and second-year fee is INR 1.50 Lakhs, the 3rd year fee is INR 1.52 Lakhs, and for the 4th year, the fee is INR 1.55 Lakhs for the BTech course at the NIT Mizoram. The total fee for the Btech course at NIT Mizoram is INR 6.07 lakhs. For the B.Tech admissions at NIT Mizoram, candidates are required to appear for JEE Main examination and participate in the JoSAA counseling for the final seat allotments.
No, NIT, Mizoram offers M.Tech courses in four specializations for which admissions are on the basis of GATE score which is further followed by counseling. Candidates must also meet the basic eligibility criteria for admission in order to be shortlisted for counseling. Candidates must have completed a graduate degree in B.E or B.Tech with minimum 60% marks in aggregate.
No, as per NTA guidelines, you need to have appeared for JEE Mains for admission into various B.Tech colleges, be it government or private. There are various colleges that don’t accept JEE Mains, however, you need to give some other exams conducted by their respective Universities for admission.
