LIFE AT NIT MIZORAM

When I decided to pursue my btech in civil engineering department few things stood out in curriculum maily blending of mathematics, physics and materials science. I was personally interested in courses like structural analysis, geotechnical engineering and hydrology which helps to learn how to design and build infrastructure that impacts everyday lifes.

There are some that offered internship with stipend like BIS. They selected 7 students from civil and mechanical department with stipend of 20000 per month. Our college also encourage students to do internship in different NITS and IIT as researchers.

The placement are good in our college, last year it like 90 percent plus students are placement and avg package is also good it is like around 900000.students from 7 semester are can able to participate in campus placements. The some like juspay, L&T, adani wilnar and many more recruiting our students. Current year highest package is 21LPA. Even I want get a job with high package before completing of my btech.

I pay around 120000 per annum which includes all kind of fees. To bisect separately tuition fees is around 20833, registration fees is 200, library deposite is 2000,library fees is 500,student activity fees is 1000, laboratory fee is 500,student aid fund is 250 and medical aid fund is 300, development fees is 1500, examination fees is 600. Only tuition fees vary according to category remaining fees remains same, for ST, SC and candidates whose family income is below 1lakh tuition is 0. And candidates whose family income is between 1lakh to 5lakhs tuition fees 20833 whereas candidate above 5lakhs family income their tuition fees is 62500. ST, SC and OBC whose family income is below 1lakh students gets scholarship of amount between 80000 to 120000 under National fellowship and scholarship for higher education for ST students, Center sector scholarship of Top class education for SC students and National fellowship for OBC students

My life in this college is so joyful. I learned my many things here in all aspects of life. This college gave me lot of knowledge to lead my life. College also conducts a event every semester like freshers, farewell, cultural and also conducts many seminars, hackthons etc. Any department student can go to library and had access to take 5 take for 30 days to their rooms. Our college also encourages sports by sending students to inter NIT compititions.

Hostel facility are good every floor has two to three geezers, every room had a fan, college provides beds, building is maintained Good cleaners comes everyday. Quality of the meal is good but taste of the meal is not so good, we had non veg thrice a week. In a day we will have 3 meals and a snack time during evening.

I pursuing National Institute of Technology Mizoram over vishue institute of technology bimavaram because NIT's are highly recognised colleges. Even though I got CSE in VITB but choose civil eng in NIT mizoram because its my dream to purse my btech in NIT's.But I want to get placed in IIT's but I can't make it. To get into my college we need clear mains competitive exam and secure good marks same goes to IIT but need to write one more advance exam but I not able to clear that exam so I didn't got the seat in IIT's. Admission process is very simple we just to submit the documents they require during physical reporting.

Faculties are high qualified and they doctrate level qualified.Faculty to student ratio in our college is 1:9. Faculties are super friend with student, they are so ready to clarify our doubts at any time. I personal like Amit yadav sir he teaching is so good, not only me everyone like his classes. Every faculty in our civil department are good, they teaches not only theoretical but also practical. Another teacher upma ma'am even though she teaches very good but she takes more extra classes which I don't like. Our college conducts one mid exam with 30 marks and one end exam with 50 marks for every semester. According our department exam are easy, max every student clears the exam rarely 1,2 students fails.

There is no gym under the college but there are local to go.Nightlife is very peaceful and had a wonderful view with full of greenary and mountains. Hostel infrastructure is also good we have 2, 3 geezers and rooms are big enough to have comfort. College timing are starting from 9 am to 5pm.
