What would be a better choice in terms of placements: SRM Kattankulathur (IT) or NIT Manipur/Mizoram/Sikkim (CS)?

I completed my BTech CSE from NIT Manipur in 2021. NITs consistently perform well in terms of placements. NITs fees are much lower compared to SRMIST and other private engineering colleges. NIT Manipur has the best placement figures among the three NITs. As perNIRF 2023 Engineering Ranking, NIT Manipur ranks 95th, while NIT Sikkim ranks in the 151-200 bracket. NITs are“Institutes of National Importance''. NITs are government colleges. They come next in line to IITs for their high brand value. Though SRM Chennai is a well-known college, it does not carry the same reputation as the IITs and NITs. Due to these factors, I had decided to pursue BTech CSE from NIT Manipur.

Which is better in terms of placement, NIT Sikkim or NIT Mizoram?

Both the National Institute Of Technology Sikkim and National Institute Of Technology Mizoram has good placement. I have a few friends from both institutes, and I was able to get the placement information from them. Here are the recent placement highlights for both institutes. Parameters NIT Sikkim NIT Mizoram Average CTC 8 LPA 7.11 LPA Highest CTC 18 LPA 12 LPA Lowest CTC 5 LPA 5 LPA Major recruiters Intel, Wipro, HP, Xerox, Tata Consultancy Services, Microsoft, etc. Yodlee Envestnet, Capgemini, L&T, ECC, Vedanta, etc. The only difference the institutes have in their placements is due to the different student intake, importance imposed in practical-based learning, etc.

Is the CSE Department of NIT Mizoram worth joining for a B.Tech? How good is the training and placement of the CSE?

National Institute of Technology, Mizoram 90th for engineering in India by JEE Cut-off 2019. The college offers B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering as a full-time four-year course at a fee of 5.43 Lakhs for the full period. Admission: The eligibility criteria for Computer Science Engineering at the institute is having passed 10+2 examinations from a recognized board in the science stream. The selection of candidates is based on JEE Main scores, which is followed by JoSAA counseling. There are 30 seats available for this course. Infrastructure: The college is built over a massive 190-acre campus. The college is home to a huge library which has over 7000 educational books and various other e-resources. Faculty & Curriculum: Nearly every teacher at the institute is a Ph.D. holder. Trainee teachers at the college are M.Tech graduates. The course curriculum for CSE is highly relevant, with various training and seminars organized to make the students industry-ready. Placements: The course has an impressive placement rate of 89%. Internships are provided to all students to give them better training. Companies such as L&T, BPCL, and IBM come for placements during the placement season. The average package offered for CS at the college is 6.5 LPA, with the highest package going up to a whopping 17.3 LPA. NITs are known for their engineering courses and NIT Mizoram is ranked among the top CSE colleges in North-East India. The college also has impressive placement statistics.

Placement Experience:

The placement are good in our college, last year it like 90 percent plus students are placement and avg package is also good it is like around 900000.students from 7 semester are can able to participate in campus placements. The some like juspay, L&T, adani wilnar and many more recruiting our students. Current year highest package is 21LPA. Even I want get a job with high package before completing of my btech.

In our college, internships and placements start from the third year and many companies come to take on-campus placements.Many companies like Infosys, Tata, Microsoft, Google and many other companies come to our college.If we look at the Civil branch, the average placement is 15 lakh and almost 90% of the people get placement on campus.

Highest package of 2024 year is around 27 lakh from PayPal and average package around 10 lac and 87 percent placement in 2023. Most of the students get placed in this college. I will go for mtech crack gate

All about NIT MIZORAM

We get the companies in the campus in the seventh semester srarting of August and the placements are good. This years highest package till now we got is 39lacs and the average is avove 8lacs and the last year we have 100 percent placement.

Overall good to consider college for low rank in jee main.

Students from their pre-final year are eligible to sit for placement interviews. Companies like Adobe, Tech Mahindra, Larsen and Toubro, Wipro, Tcs,etc. visited previous year. The highest placement was 14.5 lpa with average being 9.8 lpa. Total 75 companies visited and 86.7 percent students were placed.
