LIFE AT NIT MIZORAM

Likes

Faculty are high qualified and help to gain more practical knowledge. They are very friendly so doubts clearly become more easy.
Good quality equipments in laboratory and good library with wide variety of books.
Helps to face real life challenge in world, by which I can able to push my personal and professional development

Dislikes

Infrastructure of the college is not so good, our college don't have a permenent campus.

Admission:

I pursuing National Institute of Technology Mizoram over vishue institute of technology bimavaram because NIT's are highly recognised colleges. Even though I got CSE in VITB but choose civil eng in NIT mizoram because its my dream to purse my btech in NIT's.But I want to get placed in IIT's but I can't make it. To get into my college we need clear mains competitive exam and secure good marks same goes to IIT but need to write one more advance exam but I not able to clear that exam so I didn't got the seat in IIT's. Admission process is very simple we just to submit the documents they require during physical reporting.

The teachers are very good. He teaches us very well.
Labs are well settled. All the equipment works properly.
There is facility of smart board in all classes

Dislikes

there is no permanent campus here. All the buildings are built very far away.
Actually the weather here is good but it rains too much here which causes problems.
There is a little problem in eating, especially for vegetarian people there are many options

Admission:

I chose this college because it was a better option and since it is a government college, there won't be much need for fees here and I will be able to study well too. Yes, I believe that there is a little problem with the location here but still the college is good.There are many other colleges better than this but there are some different things in them because this is a government college. Secondly, on taking the name of NIT, people expect something different.

Seniors they are very supportive and facultys are also supportive
As there are less students faculty interaction is so good
College environment I liked it because seniors and juniors are so cooperative

Dislikes

Infrastructure as there are no permanent campus we have to face some difficulties
Interaction with local people as they speak there native language
There is no college canteen only mess is available

Very less students in classroom then chance to get placement is more

Dislikes

Worst campus life and no any campus in nit mizoram
U need to travel 7km by bus of nit mizoram for taking class
Local are very aggressive about college students

I got this college National institute of technology mizoram form the csab second round counseling and I made a mistake during the seat allotment by the csab in form of voice filling this is my big mistake

If you want NIT tag then prefer this college

Campus is not here , even temporary campus is not available only building
Some of local college students irritate you and try to involve in you
All day you go college by the bus which is very painful

I choose this college in csab round by the counselling of csab. I choose this college by mistake during the counselling process. I choose mechanical branch bcs I want to explore mechanics in physics field

My experience of first semester in nit mizoram

Likes

Mountain view and hilly area it's is best for exploring nature and experience
There culture and simplicity they are kind
Love there food and many types of dishes

Dislikes

There are Roadies have sharp turn and massive traffic
There unconditional landslide through this you have misar classes
High rate of food items and medicines and high cost of almost everything

Admission:

When we talk about the admission process and the admission process up to easy but some more difficult because of they are some some local faculty who don't know Hindi that's a barrier to communicate in English because of we are the student of Hindi medium otherwise all his simple because of that teacher are to kind and humble to help us in admission process thank you

Likes

Teaching faculty and the staff are very supportive.
Discipline is very good that makes a student feel good.
The labs and equipments for better practile knowledge.

Dislikes

Lack of permanent campus which make a liitle bit hard.
The puclic transportation in case u miss the collage bus.
Lack of food quality in mess as there are mizo contractor.

Admission:

I choose this collage coz firstly i cleared the jee mains and got a seat in this collage and i got some good reviews and the faculty here are quite famous as the director is the head of the committe which set the maths exam of jee advanced exam 2015.

Overall good to consider college for low rank in jee main.

Likes

It's geographical location is very good .
Since there is less strength so you can interact with faculties very easily
Faculties are supportive and have good methods of teaching

Dislikes

Connectivity is the main problem, the nearest train station is silchar which is around 166 km away from here.
There is not permanent campus so it becomes very time consuming while roaming from one block to other.
There can be language barrier while interacting with locals and the city is too costly to live here.

Admission:

I applied for other nits other than this but i was getting branches i was not interested in. So i chose this college over others. Admission in this college is taken through jee main . You have to apply for josaa and csab counselling. If you have more than 90 percentile in jee main you can get good branches here. Overall it is good to consider this college if you have low rank in jee main.

There is no campus here,so we can roam around everywhere with friends
Faculty is very good and electrical faculty is very strict and good

Dislikes

There is no campus so we leave far from college, so we should take bus before half an hour provided by college
It is hilly areas you have to walk along because we don't have campus we should walk up to the hills for classes

Admission:

For this college we should write a joint entrance examination for qualification for the National Institute of Technology and for the general category it is 93-96 percentile and for another backward caste 92-89 and for SC or ST it is 75- 85 percentile.

Likes

I liked the weather and the climate here it is very good
There is so much greenery and the campus life is very enjoyable
Faculty is also good and they are quite professional too

Dislikes

The food is really so bad that we cannot eat

Admission:

Admission process was quite good we have to submit so many papers. I am from obc so I don't have many reservations but as my income category is below 1 lakh so my fee is reduced Other category for more than 5lakhs have to pay full fee that is 1lakh 30k Exams are conducted twice which are semester exams and there are internal exams too
