Very good faculty and they are very helpful and very knowledgeable
You will get lots of opportunities for scholarships ( government as well as private scholarships).
Placement and intership are pretty good like iits or better than some iits and nits

Dislikes

Ya faculties are well qualified upto the degrees of phd and post docatarate but in terms of teaching they are not very good i say.they just come in class with ppts and start whispering and no one listens actually
There are some who teach good, but don't support students.
Some faculty isnt well versed in their subjects or simply dont know how to teach

Likes

I appreciate the vibrant campus life, with diverse cultural events and extracurricular activities fostering a sense of community.
The emphasis on holistic development through sports and cultural activities was also commendable
The rich history and heritage of COEP, with its prestigious legacy and renowned alumni network

I found the infrastructure lacking in some areas, with issues such as inadequate facilities and outdated equipment

Students become eligible for campus placements usually from the seventh semester onwards. Various renowned companies visit the campus, offering diverse job opportunities. For instance, companies like DE Shaw, Caterpillar, and Bajaj Auto have visited, offering roles in software development, marketing, core and consultancy. The highest package offered is typically around 55lpa, while the average package ranges from 7 to 8lpa, depending on the company and role.

Very good faculty and they are very helpful and very knowledgeable
Very good crowd, you are among the top minds of Maharashtra
There are many fests in college and you enjoy them a lot.

Dislikes

The distance between hostel and college is more.
There is no cellular network in college causing a lot inconvenience

Course Curriculum Overview:

Very good faculty. The syllabus is also very good. You learn many new things and learn new skills. The faculty is very helpful and knowledgeable. The paper they set is really good and test caliber of students.

Likes

Peer group: Students of COEP are extremely talented be it in academics or other extra curricular activities

Dislikes

Fees structure: Fees are comparatively high for general category students.

Placement Experience:

Overall placements are very good in COEP Computer science has the highest placement performance Every branch has got good placement recorded. Also, internship opportunities are very good compared to other colleges in Pune. Placements start from the start of the 7th semester or at the start of the fourth year.

COEP is one of the prestigious colleges in Maharashtra.

Placement Experience:

To many companies visiting in coep like Mercedes benz tcs Mahindra cognizunt,tata etc above 100 companies visited every year in coep. coep have give 100% placement for IT and CS. Approximately 62% students are placed every year.

Remarks:

Great faculty and great exposure to technical events. Almost 100% placement as well.The tech fest Mindspark is one of the most important fests of the college. Everyone awaits eagerly for it. The college supports all sports activities as well. It helps us take part in many inter college sports events giving us more exposures

Remarks:

Being a JEE aspirant, I studied very hard for JEE MAINS and ADVANCED but I couldn't score well enough to get into top NITs and IITs so the only option that remained was going for state colleges. College of Engineering, Pune also known as COEP being the top most Institute for engineering in Maharashtra I decided to go for it. The entrance through which we can get admission in Maharashtra state Colleges is MHT-CET which is quite easy for JEE aspirants.

Remarks:

The college ranks to the top of the colleges among Pune. Also the college is runned by the government so its tag is very much effective in getting placements. The global leading companies like Microsoft, amazon, etc visits the campus. Also their is a huge fees wave off for the students who cannot afford it.

COEP Pune is a reputed technological institute and offers decent academics and placement opportunities to the students. As far as teaching goes, you can expect to have 50-50 experience. Some of the faculties are excellent and have in-depth knowledge about their subjects, while others are not so much. COEP has a good infrastructure. The departmental labs are well-equipped.

The institute has a good placement record. The highlights of recent COEP placements show the median CTC to be around INR 5 LPA. VISA, eBay, Barclays, Oracle, etc. are among the major recruiters to visit the campus placement.

COEP’s Techfest - Mindspark is the largest techfest in Maharashtra after IITB’s techfest.
