Remarks

College of engineering Pune is known for its heritage and it's one of the best engineering colleges in Maharashtra. I'm from Pune and it was always my dream to got admitted in COEP. It's very good college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is very good. COEP being autonomous college has its own curriculum apart from university. Academics is COEP excellent but quite difficult and Teachers are very supportive they help us out in almost every situation.

Placement Experience

5

Lots of companies and organizations visit College of engineering Pune every academic year and placement rate is about 80 to 90 percentage. Some examples are Amazon,Wipro, Tata, Bajaj, force motors etc.

College Events

5

COEP is well known for the activities and events that are conducted throughout the year. Some of them are COEP MINDSPARK, COEP Impressions, Regatta etc. Various students from other colleges get to explore COEP during such festes.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have availed for MahaDBT scholarship which is a goverment scholarship provided by Maharashtra government for UG courses. It can be availed by applying online on MahaDBT portal.

Campus Life

As said earlier college of engineering Pune is known for its historical heritage. The college buildings were built in 1850's -1880's during British rule but still standing strong.the internal infrastructure is also quite good.we have one big library, various workshops, free wifi in campus, etc

Hostel Facilities

No I haven't opted for hostel. Hostel infrastructure is also quite good. They provide big rooms.one room for four students along with cupboard and separate beds. The security is very good. Girls and boys have different blocks.

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are 10-12 subjects per semester and it's really goes boring to keep studying all of them regularly so most of the students prefer a night before the exam for preparation. The agronomy practical activities like weeding , fertiliser application may prepare you for field work if you really want to practice farming . As such no theory subject will provide you ground experience. The syllabus for the subjects is historical too and hence not relevant as such for today's competition with other disciplines.
