Likes

Campus and Infrastructure are great here.
Social life and events are well managed and crowd is nice
Curriculum is good and structured with lectures and practical.

Dislikes

Management is a little off. No internships provided
Fees are sort of high for the facilities they provide.
Travelling is a sort of issue especially during rains.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is moderately relevant and covers essential topics and concepts. the inclusion of practical labs and project-based learning further influenced my decision to take this course. The exam system is also fairly balanced

Class Size: 72Course Fees: INR 129000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 1,29,000 as yearly fees. I don't have any scholarship but there are options available. For female students, the tuition fees is completely waived off. EBC scholarships provide up to 50% scholarships on tuition fees and examination fees.

Campus Life

My overall campus experience is nice, I am part of several clubs and technical societies. We have engaging activities both fun and technical. I am also the jr. web developer at IEEE VESIT. The library is well stocked with all the books needed.

Admission

I applied to several colleges, this was a end moment addition to the list but worth it. I have no regrets. Balanced curriculum and placement records are good here. Faculty are nice and crowd of the college is decent

Faculty

the faculty-to-student ratio is well-balanced. with most departments having sufficient teaching and non-teaching staff. the relationship between students and faculty is nice. they are open to solving doubts.

Night Life

Nightlife is quite laid back. The surrounding of the institute are silent and at nights not very comfortable. It has a temple besides the institute that is great place. Campus timings are mostly 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

A balanced college experince with academics and campus activities

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is fairly relevant and covers the fundamentals required in the Field of CSEDS . the curriculum helps students build basic knowledge that can support both industry career and higher studies. the exam structure generally includes internal assessments, assignments and end sem examinations, the frequency is manageable.

Overall review of my college life in VIT Pune

Placement Experience:

The Training Placement Office Logins are given to us in the third year of the college where alot of companies gives opportunities to apply for the said job role or internship. Approximately 5 to 10 companies visits are there every month which increases as you enter your final year of college.

After 1st year student can openly apply for internship, theon campus internship is avaliable after 4th Sem. The highest amount goes to Quant Finance and more than 75% gets placed for in-campus. The highest pakacemet was INR 3cr for the Quant profile.

VIIT : Not like you expect

Placement Experience:

From the 6th semester the students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies visit this college like Infosys, Calfus , Amazon , UBS, Crowdstrike. In case of no campus placements, one can try research internship offered by college.

My experience at VIT pune

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to apply for placement is after 2 year or at 5th semester. And companies that have visited are Morgan Stanley, TCS, JP Morgan, etc. and many others. Basic package is about 7 lacs per annum which I consider as okay for freshers. And the student which got highest is 26 lac per annum as he was one of the brightest student of the college. I think 50 to 60 percent students get placed more or less maximum are low package students. My plans are different than doing job so not applied at any of the job.

Students are eligible for placement from the third year itself for ppo and so. There are several companies visiting thakur around the year and there are a lot who get placement off campus too. I have heard a student from comps got into google at 72lpa. you can visit the tnp site for more detail.

Placement Experience:

placements are pretty decent here, especially for comp/it students. The average package here is around 12 to 14lakh, college provide on campus placements too, our placement cell is pretty hardworking. almost 97 to 99% of students get placed here.
