This course total cost 30,000 rupees in divide 6 semester in 3 year, this course have lots of scholarship, financial assistance like swami vivekananda merit cum mins scholarship was the best scholarship in west bengal
The campus was beautiful and the professors were friendly and helpful.
Placement services are also good . around 60 percent student get placed

Dislikes

I really disliked how late our semester exam are held. this causes problem for 6th sem students as they can't apply for other places early.
The placement is really not good and many of the students hated internships and jobs for the medical representative designation.
The staff gets rude sometimes and are not helpful ( some of them)

Review of St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata

Likes

The college societies host a lot of events and competitions especially for freshers to help them feel welcome
They offer a wide variety of skill enhancement and multidisciplinary subjects and courses
Professors here are well educated and capable

Dislikes

All of the classrooms aren't air conditioned which can often hinder learning
The washroom cubicles in the girls' washrooms are really small and frequently dirty

In today's competitive job market it becomes important for the college to not just help students get degrees but also provide them with placements and internships so that they can have the experience needed to stand at a competitive footing with the rest of the candidates in the world. To look into this, St. Xavier's College has a Placement Cell run by Placements officer Mr. Niladri Sinha under whose guidance, various companies visit the college regularly looking for capable young minds to take under their wing and help provide them with the necessary exposure and experience so that they can combat any obstacles that they face.

Review of St. Xavier's College, Kolkata from the perspective of a first year student

Likes

The course structure is updated and relevant to today's world. It includes multidisciplinary courses that prepare the students and equip them with skills that help in professional endeavours.
The faculty is good and helpful. It makes it easier to study the subjects. Their teaching methods are engaging and interesting.
The campus life is vibrant with multiple active societies and many events taking place. One can always get involved in extracurricular activities.

Dislikes

The library does not have many copies of the books and it's difficult to get a copy to borrow especially during the exam season.
It is difficult to become members of societies since it involves rigorous recruitments.
The sports department is good but it is not possible to experiment and learn new sports.

Placement Experience:

The college offers good placements for economis. Students in their final year are eligible for campus placements and there is a cell dedicated to placements. Many students do not opt for placements and go for higher studies but many students who opt for it, get placed with decent packages. Many well-known companies visit the campus as well. I wish to explore my options after completing the degree as of now.

SXC:- Are NIRF Rankings Speaking the Same Story as the Campus?

The library has all the books I need for study and I do not need to buy books from outside. Moreover, the online resources and journal subscriptions we have are just fantastic for research papers.
There is a lot of exposure with reference to competitions, societies and events. We get enough scope to find our voice in some way or the other.
The professors are absolutely fantastic with regards to approaching their syllabus.

Dislikes

Strict attendance policy (below 75% per class student gets debarred from writing papers)
My day batch has classes from 10:10 to 3 pm or 4 pm on half the days making it really difficult for me to devote time to other activities or attend physical internships
I wish statistics had been included within our economics syllabus a bit earlier than teaching it from second year onwards full fledgedly. I believe computer softwares relating to data analysis should be a part of our course in each semester.

Placement Experience:

We have a placement cell helping students get placed. They keep posting opportunities like internships and fellowships throughout the year to groom students and give them exposure and experience. Placements can go to very high packages like those in Data Science, Big 4 consulting or core finance or banking jobs. CAs, CFAs and FRMs do well in the placements. The highest packages could surpass 12-13 LPA and median packages are close to 6-7 LPA. DE Shaw, Zomato, Myntra, Meesho, TCS and McKinsey are some top companies coming here.

A short review of my college

Likes

The facilities are good in teaching and there behaviour is so friendly.
All the rooms have ac and the rooms are quite big and spacious.
Class schedules are not so heptic and manageable.

Dislikes

College campus is not too big like other colleges.
Sometimes the librarian behaves rudely, they provides less help to new students who don't know about anything.
College has only one ground to play, so students can't play much.

Placement Experience:

Students from the final years only get a chance to get placement from campus. For batch 2022-2024 last year average package was 8 LPA and highest 12 LPA. A vast amount of 67% students got placed in last year from campus placements. I'm actually planning to do higher studies after the degree.

Likes

I liked the college campus, it's beautiful and clean.
The collage library is also impressive. It's big, clean and you'll get every needed book. Also provides great study environment.
The classrooms are fully air-conditioned and clean. It's good for attending lectures.

Dislikes

The long stairs I not like so much. Sometimes I have climb upto 4th floor in hot.

I currently in 2nd year, so I don't have much idea about placements that college offers. But have a brief idea on the besis of the seniors. My collage provides internships, and the average package is also good. From the sixth semester one can become eligible for internships. My plan is to study further, Msc and PhD.

When canteen closed, the city opened up.

Likes

The location is super convenient - being located in the central Kolkata made it easy to and from college.
The infrastructure is pretty decent with clean and air-conditioned classrooms. The overall campus is also clean and felt very safe.
One of the things that i liked is the discipline. The environment is very strict, structured and safe which is ideal for a good learning experience.

Dislikes

When it comes to academics for the economics department, there is an enormous room for improvement. While some professors were actually helpful, in general we had to study most of the syllabus on our own. The faculty members kept changing frequently
The fees structure for the kind of facilities and placement opportunities wasn't justified. There wasn't any scholarships or financial aid .
Campus life overall was dull. There weren't any fests which felt monotonous after a point.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've always found economics to be really interesting and thats why I choose to persue it. I wanted to dive deep into the actual concepts and workings of the economy and understand how the world works from an economist's point of view. Sadly the curriculam doesnt bridge the gap between theory and real life. It focuses heavily on textbook and not how the world works.

Complete college review

Likes

There are lots of event in the college where you can participate and learn skills from
The faculty is good as well as the labs we work in..
There are sports events as well as internship events in our collges

Dislikes

Abit of government groups are included that might cause bit of trouble if you get involved in it
Lifts should be allowed for students as some of our classes are placed in 4th floor
The canteen is in the 5th floor..that is actually so energy comsuming

There are compulsory internships where we can actually learn about the works we are about to do in the future..they tend to make us ready and give us a heads up..there are even different events with helps in varies ways as well

All about my college life

Likes

i like the infrastructure and management of our college
The sports event and fest are also wonderful
The class timings are regular and wonderful

Dislikes

I didn't like the way peon talks to the students
I didn't like the seniors behaviour toward the junior students
The union taking control of our college.

My course is very relevant and helpful for our also . it helps us to understand the function of our human body giving us a new learning experience with experienced faculty members. As stated earlier The exams are also aligned very structurally

The best female college

Likes

The teacher, senior, the teaching faculty, the atmosphere
The study ,the fees structure at our time the fees was just 1200
Discipline, culture and it is whole girls college

Dislikes

I love my college so there is nothing I would dislike about
The placement. There was only few placement at that time
We could bunk classes but 75% was must though

The best. The teaching method was the best . Practical approach and laptop experiments was done regularly . And we could even practise any time we want. Teachers were very helpful and the principal was the best

Short story of my college

Likes

I realy like my class.my teachers are very nice .3 teachers are my class. 3 are the best one. I realy enjoyed study in my college.
College very neet and nice . My college canteen is nice foodd.my teacher is every day give study materials that was really helpful to me
My mother was happy to see iam studied that college. My principal was very nice person and he managed the college very well

Dislikes

My college was short and no campus and no programmes are conducted.. iam very disappointed that matter.
My college programs days all time students was not enjoyed. My college was not perfect . All student comes to my college reason is good videos .
My college water is very bad. I dont drink my college water. I really vomitting tendency to drink that waterand some times principal missbihaving

firsttime i dont know that course. I expected to study food technology but that course was full of students. Then i decided to study geology course.but i know that course then i realy like .finally i realised my decision is good for me. So many things i studied about earth and atmosphere
