Likes

i like the infrastructure and management of our college
The sports event and fest are also wonderful
The class timings are regular and wonderful

Dislikes

I didn't like the way peon talks to the students
I didn't like the seniors behaviour toward the junior students
The union taking control of our college.

Course Curriculum Overview

My course is very relevant and helpful for our also . it helps us to understand the function of our human body giving us a new learning experience with experienced faculty members. As stated earlier The exams are also aligned very structurally

I am not availing any scholarship ...am paying my college fee upto 11000 yearly Tution fee is 7000 caution fee is 2000 admission fee is 500 lab fee is 500 For obc the college fee is around 9000 Tution fee is 6000 caution fee is 2000 admission fee is 500 lab fee is 500

Campus Life

The campus life is good not a big campus but a normal bigger than the other most of the colleges . I don't socialize much that's why i also didn't do clubbing and all..The faculties are very experienced and infrastructure are also very excellent

Admission

I wanted to pursue medicine my i failed to clear my NEET exam..and so far i have registered the other colleges form . This college is best amongst the other with regards to its ciricullum and other factors like engaging in other sports and debates and infrastructure also.

Faculty

The faculty members are intelligent and helpful with the department of physics chemistry and mostly physiology. The structure of exam are aligned in a wonderful manner. most of our class fellows actually clears the exam because of the helpul teaching of the faculty and the course is also imp in our day to day life

Night Life

i belong to cental Kolkata so the college didn't alot me Hostel . The gym and library are good with all the things needed . The cafeteria are also good but not a big one. Most nearby places to hang out is a mall which is 500 m away from my college and many other wonderful restaurant and cafe

Placement Experience:

College does provide internship opportunities both through the placement cell as well as department faculty. Semester 5 and Semester 7 students are eligible for placements. Average package is about 5.5 lakh per annum for microbiology course. Although placement percentage is on the lower side majority of students go for higher studies. Many prepare for exams like GATE, IIT JAM, etc.

Placement Experience:

college placements are good in this college with a number of good financial and consultancy firms coming in with new gen companies as well in the service and sales industry. moreoever getting a good placement in a top financial or consultancy placement requires a POR in a good society as a criteria, its not really required but adds to your chances of getting it. moreover you require to participate in a number of case study competitions for the same as well. my plans after graduation is probably working for a year or two after which i plan on doing my MBA. around 50-60% who apply get a placement.

My experience at St. Xavier's

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course theory helps us gain a solid understanding of the subject matter. Film studies and Mass Communication theory classes has laid down the foundation of the subject- from what is a shot and the kinds of shots and angles, to the beginning of radio in India and essays by CS Pierce and John Berger. The course also includes practical classes in the sound labs, editing labs and we will learn to use a camera, as one of the things we will have to do in this course is make films of our own.

Our college has a very active placement cell that fetches jobs for everyone who needs and deserve it. The highest package was 24 lacs per annum last year and it is only expected to go up this round almost all students to set for placements are placed but in my department specifically most opt for higher studies like myself.

The college offers good placements for economis. Students in their final year are eligible for campus placements and there is a cell dedicated to placements. We have a placement cell helping students get placed. They keep posting opportunities like internships and fellowships throughout the year to groom students and give them exposure and experience. Placements can go to very high packages like those in Data Science, Big 4 consulting or core finance or banking jobs. CAs, CFAs and FRMs do well in the placements. I choose this course as I like physics very much and I wish to make my career on research & general lines. In our batch, we are 21 students who come regularly, the faculties are 6, whereas 2 lab attendants. All faculties are MSc and 4 of them have PhDs. Yes, in our college it takes an internal exam & that's very tough.
