University of Calcutta Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

From 5th semester students becomes eligible for campus placement. Top hiring companies are ICICI bank, FUSION BPO, tech mahindra etc. 70% of the students get placement through college. I want to go for higher studies (M.Sc) as well as perparing for Armed Forces.

The course curriculum is relevant but, there is a lack of clinical or other exposures like camps or visits. However since this is a government college, a lot of holidays will be there, so the attendance is usually maintained. But even if notes are provided, people should also study by themselves.

The course curriculum both are very good the exams include both practical and theoretical studies.the books are little vast but not that deep.u can achieve really good marks by just adding little efforts to ur study

our clg provides 10lakh per annum package for students and also various internship opportunities to built skills used in real life and further in corporate world. various companies such as redbull, yatri sathi and swiss beauty cosmetics are sponsers of our college event and its also safe to say its a great opportunity for besc students to get an opportunity in these huge companies.

After 8 th semister students become eligible for campus placements. Mainly Cement industries, painting industries and steel industries used to visit here. But few numbers of offers they made. Highest average package in 6 lakhs per year. 60 to 70 percent of students getting placements here . My plan is to join research programme after getting degree.

I will rate my course curriculum a solid 8 out of 10 . The curriculum prepared me for the real world very well . The timings of class can be improved Timing of exams were good and flexible for us . Over all i will like to say that i am fortunate enough to take part in this course

I am in the first semester currently and am enjoying the course altogether. The practical classes are what attract me more I really enjoy doing experiments with semiconductors, which are in our syllabus in the first semester. The thing I don't really appreciate is that we have not got a full six months in our first semester, and the exams are knocking on our doors. There are projectors in our department, so we can see and visualize things better, which enhances our learning experience in the college. I will be appearing for the first semester exams next month, so currently,y I cannot comment on the difficulty of the exams but the previous year's questions that were provided were quite easy so I guess even this year the exams will be easy.

I being an Environmental science Hons student feel that this curriculum has a very important role in my life shaping my future, making me a better person and teaching most important values of life. The teaching methods are pretty good . We've books in our lab and are provided with e content.

The course is enrolled under Calcutta University. So the college doesn't have anything to do with it. I chose this college because of the faculty and amenities they're offering compared to other colleges. But with a degree in economics you can get into finance, data analysis, business management or anything else you like!

The balance between theoretical knowledge and practical exposure in the lab is a deciding factor. The curriculum equips students with practical skills through live projects wich prepare us for real-world challenges.
