The curriculum is relevant and well structure. It includes theory an practical subject which help in building strong basics it is useful for higher studies and future career . Some improvement are needed in adding more skil based course and internship. Teaching methods can be more interactive. The course follow a semester system and exam are of moderate difficulty

The mathematics honours curriculum influence my decision to choose these course because of its strong emphasis on core subjects like calculus algebra and analysis which build solid theoretical foundation and logical thinking skills. The course prepared students will for higher studies and comparative exams by focusing on conceptual clarity proves and problem solving some topics also offer practical relevance in field suggest statistics data analysis and applied sciences. Curriculum can be improved by including more application oriented subjects computational tools an interactive teaching method such as problem solving sessions and project based learning

The reason I chose this course is because I have loved the subject of geography since childhood.And I thought I would major in geography when I grew up.I learned a lot from this course, such as about our geography.Because of which my general knowledge has improved a lot.

1.The faculties of modern physics and computational physics were exceptional and in my opinion the best in the city. 2.Since i was more inclined towards modern physics i chose this particular college. 3.The curriculam prepares the students for higher studies like masters and doctorate. 4.The frequency and timing of exam coincided with calcutta university. 5.Areas of improvement-Better Equipment for Optics lab and more digital equipments.

further academic pursuits is biosciences can include advanced degrees like a Master's or PhD in specialized fields like genetics , medicine or biotechnology . To improve in bkosciences focus on digital skills like bioinformatics and coding and Teaching methods are lecture - based learning , direct instrucction . B.Sc in bioscience this is three year undergraduate program divided into six semesters .

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

College does provide internship opportunities both through the placement cell as well as department faculty. Semester 5 and Semester 7 students are eligible for placements. Average package is about 5.5 lakh per annum for microbiology course. Although placement percentage is on the lower side majority of students go for higher studies. Many prepare for exams like GATE, IIT JAM, etc.

college placements are good in this college with a number of good financial and consultancy firms coming in with new gen companies as well in the service and sales industry. moreoever getting a good placement in a top financial or consultancy placement requires a POR in a good society as a criteria, its not really required but adds to your chances of getting it. moreover you require to participate in a number of case study competitions for the same as well. my plans after graduation is probably working for a year or two after which i plan on doing my MBA. around 50-60% who apply get a placement.

The course theory helps us gain a solid understanding of the subject matter. Film studies and Mass Communication theory classes has laid down the foundation of the subject- from what is a shot and the kinds of shots and angles, to the beginning of radio in India and essays by CS Pierce and John Berger. The course also includes practical classes in the sound labs, editing labs and we will learn to use a camera, as one of the things we will have to do in this course is make films of our own.

Our college has a very active placement cell that fetches jobs for everyone who needs and deserve it. The highest package was 24 lacs per annum last year and it is only expected to go up this round almost all students to set for placements are placed but in my department specifically most opt for higher studies like myself.
