Likes
- All the big brands and big tech giants come to the campus for great opportunity opportunity for students you can apply for placements from the fifth semester itself.
- College provides a lot of scholarships like merit cum means scholarship, inspire scholarship, and fee waiver scheme.
- The faculty members are really good as they are great researchers in their respective fields.
Dislikes
- But, if we talk about scholarship then it's a bad news that there is no institute scholarship for unreserved students but u can get it for other organisations like nsp.
- The hostel rooms are also not good enough and lack cleanliness sometimes and have broken chairs/ tables, etc. at times.
- The academic workload can be sometimes demanding, not always but sometimes, leading to stress and pressure among students.

- The most loved thing is the environment here.
- After that the classes here are so beautiful.
- Finally the helipad area is the most loved place .
Dislikes
- The food of each mess in the Hostels during on campus time is too bad
- Then the course provided by the department.
- The last semester has 5 courses + a research project work so huge pressure.
Placement Experience:
From the last year students get placements from defferent sectors like industrial basis or educational type . Almost 20-30% students get placements every year with good package other choose different future plans.

- Campus atmosphere is very Good for students
- Hall of residence are properly managed by HALL MANAGEMENT CENTRE
- EDUCATION HERE IS MUCH APPLICABLE FOR FUTURE STUDIES
Placement Experience:
For M tech students After 1st semester students are eligible for internships and 3 rd semester they are eligibe for campus placement.The placement of the students are thorough Carrier Development Cell(CDC) .OIL,CARIN,GMDC,JIO BP.For. m tech students the % is <80% HIGHEST Pakage is between 20-25 lakhs

- oh they are just great they excel in their feild and have very much knowledge(profs)

- its too distant from a major city and its not a city though
- a huge campus whre you will want to just not walk
- u will be needing a bicycle to roam arround
Placement Experience:
from 3rd semester itself the placement cells start their work and provide a world cass oppertuinity for the placements . its nice in my college. i can say about my course and batch in witch this yeasr almost 14 stuents got a job from placement in core and non core out of 24 people. which is nice for a masters course where students go for reaserch more.

- The campus life is more or less healthy with all the necessary amenities. The institute and the students gymkhana organize regular events for students interaction.
- The teachers here are very helpful toward the students. The teaching method include both board-marker and ppt presentation with projects and student interaction through quizzes and poster presentations.
- The institute is well-equipped with many modern equipment both for academic purposes and campus life. The laboratory facility is also quite good.
Dislikes
- Being a very prestigious institute, the library is not well-maintained with lack of many books specially on advance sciences.
- There is a very toxic competition among the Hall of Residences for various inter-hall events, and still has the issues of mental health and peer pressure
- There is a lack in the maintenance of machineries in the laboratories.
Placement Experience:
The placement comittee provides good amount of placements with good packages. Although more placement is needed as student intake increases every year. Apart from placements, the institute takes students into PhD courses.

- The institute has good quality of resources, highly experienced faculty and productive environment for the people who want to excel.
- Everything is easily available in the campus. The infrastructure is well planned with comfortable classrooms equipped with AC, projetor

- One might experience difficulties in the beginning as there is problems with hostel allocation and also the hostels are not very good.
- The pressure is huge as compared to other institutes. Therefore it is suggested to manage it from the beginning.
Placement Experience:
Students typically become eligible for campus placements from the penultimate semester of their program. For undergraduate students, this is usually the seventh semester, and for graduate students, it could be the third semester.
Google, Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, Infosys, TCS. General Electric, Siemens, Tata Motors, Larsen & Toubro.
Top tech companies like Google and Microsoft typically make around 5-10 offers each. Finance firms like Goldman Sachs can make 10-15 offers.

- The teacher to student ratio is pretty good, almost a 1:1. The classes are held in a seperate air-conditioned complex, full speed wifi is present. Also labs are situated in department and lab complex(Ramanujan Complex)
- Communication is good, the campus being large we travel in cycles most of the time. Also, Bus services are present for class timings
- Hostels are pretty good, equipped with necessities like water cooler, purifier and such. Wifi connectivity is ok, lan port are there for every student.
Dislikes
- Communication to the outside of campus is pretty bad, only option are shared auto and bus which are not frequent, and toto is always there but it charges much.
- Library although very good but fails to give online access to books.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum has a slight problem, it is not properly ordered. An example of this is Mathematical statistics being in our final semester core paper. However, there are electives in the third semester that require math-statistics as a prerequisite. There are a few subjects like these that need to be taught earlier and a few that need to be taught later.

- Best faculty,there is best professor and they are very friendly.
- Best resources like labs , library, supercomputer facility

- Time management for course, the course curriculum is tough
- Food quality is not so good, And also repeated
- The exam pressure of mid and end sem and project
Course Curriculum Overview:
M.Sc from IIT is very good opportunity for good chance to interact with County's best faculty and best lab for different fields like physics lab chemistry etc. So it's very good for students who want to make his career in research.and the faculty: students ratio is 1:60. And there will mid sem and endsem exam conduct every semester and marking is relatively. So it's good.

- Hostel Life and flexibility in timing for taking foor .
- Cycling round the campus or outside the campus with friends
- Interactions with highly qualified professionals researcher and profs.
Dislikes
- Number of students in some courses is too big.
- Being the largest campus, u have to paddle a lot.
- If u want to change your room, it's almost impossible.
Placement Experience:
If u are a tech loving student, then u will find various placement opportunities.
But, it's a bad news for non tech students like me
Because, for us the possibility of getting placed is very small.
If don't get placed from here , I thought of preparing for NET and because a physics professor.

- Campus is extremely beautiful, well lighted and very good cleanliness in the campus.
- Well-equipped experimental labs, every instrument is in good conditions and a lab staff is present to assist you with the experiment.
- Peace enviroment which i really like and it is often said by the student of kharagpur " iit me peace hai".
Dislikes
- hectic course curriculum. 3 labs, 5 theory paper, and 2 exam in the span of 3 month apart from the test,assignment.
- suicide rate of the student is very high, almost in every year there are 1-2 suicides performed by the students.
- IIT kharagpur is in remote area so there are not much facilities available apart from ola,zomato and swiggy.
Placement Experience:
Placement is mostly done in the it sector, so students who are interested in the placements get a very good job in IT. But in the MSc physics no high number of students placed. Most students are likely to go for a Ph.D.But if you know data science then you can bag a good job with a handsome salary.

- I liked the campus here. It is green, cleen and vibrant.
- The thing I like most about IIT Kharagpur is it's library. Go study,spend till 12. No one will distribute you.
- I also like the culture here. Students are opened minded. Teachers are helpful.
Dislikes
- Still there are few teachers you will find like they are literally not interested to teach you.

Placement Experience:
In my course, one is eligible to sit for placement from 3rd semester.
Mostly all the reputated companies visits. Like Google, Amazon, Accenture, Microsoft, Uber, Flipkart etc and last year around 1100 offers were made.
Highest package - 2.5 cr/yr
Avarage package - 25 lakh/yr
Around 75 percent students get placed.
My plan is to go for campus placement.
